<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> For behold, I say unto you that I have beheld that many generations shall pass away, and there shall be great wars and contentions among my people.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span>  萬軍之主說：他們必遭雷電、地震和各種毀滅侵襲，因為主必向他們燃起怒火，他們必如碎稭，那要來的日子必將他們燒盡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> And they shall be visited with thunderings, and lightnings, and earthquakes, and all manner of destructions, for the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng fire] of the anger of the Lord shall be kindled against them, and they shall be as stubble, and the day that cometh shall consume them, saith the Lord of Hosts.</p>

For I, Nephi, have seen it, and it well nigh consumeth me before the presence of the Lord; but I must cry unto my God: Thy ways are <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng just].</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And when these things have passed away a speedy<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng destruction] cometh unto my people; for, notwithstanding the pains of my soul, I have seen it; wherefore, I know that it shall come to pass; and they sell themselves for naught; for, for the reward of their pride and their <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng foolishness] they shall reap destruction; for because they yield unto the devil and <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng choose]works of <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng darkness] rather than light, therefore they must go down to <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng hell].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span>  因為主的靈不會一直對世人<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=zho 努力]。靈停止對世人努力時，毀滅就迅速來臨；這使我的靈魂十分憂傷悲痛。</p>

And when the Spirit <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng ceaseth] to strive with man then cometh speedy destruction, and this grieveth my soul.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span>  凡相信祂的人，祂必藉著<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=zho 聖靈]的力量，向他們顯現；是的，向各國、各族、各方、各民顯現，並依人類兒女的信心，在他們之中行各樣大奇蹟、徵兆和奇事。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> And that he <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng manifesteth] himself unto all those who believe in him, by the power of the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng Holy Ghost]; yea, unto every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, working mighty <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng miracles], signs, and wonders, among the children of men according to their <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng faith].</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span>  我的後裔和我兄弟的後裔在不信中衰落，並受到外邦人擊打後；是的，主神要在四周紮營攻擊他們，設柵欄圍困他們，築壘攻擊他們後；他們敗落、低於塵埃、不再存活之後，義人的話仍然記錄下來，忠信者的禱告必蒙垂聽，那些在不信中衰落的人，也不被遺忘。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> After my seed and the seed of my brethren shall have<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng dwindled] in unbelief, and shall have been smitten by the Gentiles; yea, after the Lord God shall have <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng camped] against them round about, and shall have laid siege against them with a mount, and raised forts against them; and after they shall have been brought down low in the dust, even that they are not, yet the words of the righteous shall be written, and the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng prayers] of the faithful shall be heard, and all those who have <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng dwindled] in unbelief shall not be forgotten.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span>  那些遭毀滅的人，要<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=zho 從]地下向他們說話，他們的言語必微細出於塵埃；他們的聲音必像交鬼者的聲音；因為主神要賜他力量，使他能低聲述說他們的事，如同發自地下；他們的言語低低微微出於塵埃。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> For those who shall be destroyed shall <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng speak] unto them out of the ground, and their speech shall be low out of the dust, and their voice shall be as one that hath a familiar spirit; for the Lord God will give unto him power, that he may whisper concerning them, even as it were out of the ground; and their speech shall whisper out of the dust.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> And the Gentiles are lifted up in the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng pride] of their eyes, and have <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng stumbled], because of the greatness of their <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng stumbling]block, that they have built up many <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng churches]; nevertheless, they<sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng put] down the power and miracles of God, and preach up unto themselves their own wisdom and their own <sup class='englishSup'>f</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng learning], that they may get gain and <sup class='englishSup'>g</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng grind] upon the face of the poor.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span>  教會紛紛建立起來，<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=zho 嫉妒]、不和、怨恨也隨之而來。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> And there are many churches built up which cause <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng envyings], and <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng strifes], and <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng malice].</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> And there are also secret <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng combinations], even as in times of old, according to the combinations of the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng devil], for he is the founder of all these things; yea, the founder of murder, and <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/26?lang=eng works]of darkness; yea, and he leadeth them by the neck with a flaxen cord, until he bindeth them with his strong cords forever.</p>
