<p class='english'>King Benjamin continues his address—Salvation comes because of the Atonement—Believe in God to be saved—Retain a remission of your sins through faithfulness—Impart of your substance to the poor—Do all things in wisdom and order. About 124 B.C.</p>

And they all cried aloud with one voice, saying: O have mercy, and apply the <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng atoning] blood of Christ that we may receive forgiveness of our sins, and our hearts may be <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng purified]; for we believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who <sup class='englishSup'>f</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng created] heaven and earth, and all things; who shall come down among the children of men.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> And it came to pass that after they had spoken these words the Spirit of the Lord came upon them, and they were filled with joy, having received a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng remission] of their sins, and having peace of<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng conscience], because of the exceeding <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng faith] which they had in Jesus Christ who should come, according to the <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng words] which king Benjamin had spoken unto them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span>  便雅憫王又開口開始對他們說：我的朋友、我的弟兄、我的鄉親、我的人民，我要再請你們注意，好使你們聽到並了解我要對你們說的其餘的話。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And king Benjamin again opened his mouth and began to speak unto them, saying: My friends and my brethren, my kindred and my people, I would again call your attention, that ye may hear and understand the remainder of my words which I shall speak unto you.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> For behold, if the knowledge of the goodness of God at this time has awakened you to a sense of your <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng nothingness], and your worthless and fallen state—</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> I say unto you, if ye have come to a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng knowledge] of the goodness of God, and his matchless power, and his wisdom, and his patience, and his long-suffering towards the children of men; and also, the<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng atonement] which has been prepared from the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng foundation] of the world, that thereby salvation might come to him that should put his <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng trust] in the Lord, and should be diligent in keeping his commandments, and continue in the faith even unto the end of his life, I mean the life of the mortal body—</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> I say, that this is the man who receiveth salvation, through the atonement which was prepared from the foundation of the world for all mankind, which ever were since the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng fall] of Adam, or who are, or who ever shall be, even unto the end of the world.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> And this is the means whereby salvation cometh. And there is<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng none] other salvation save this which hath been spoken of; neither are there any conditions whereby man can be saved except the conditions which I have told you.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> Believe in <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng God]; believe that he is, and that he <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng created] all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng wisdom], and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng comprehend] all the things which the Lord can comprehend.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And again, believe that ye must <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng repent] of your sins and forsake them, and humble yourselves before God; and ask in<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng sincerity] of heart that he would <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng forgive] you; and now, if you<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng believe] all these things see that ye <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng do] them.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng tasted] of his love, and have received a<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng remission] of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng nothingness], and his <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng goodness] and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng humility], <sup class='englishSup'>f</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng calling] on the name of the Lord daily, and standing <sup class='englishSup'>g</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng steadfastly] in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span>  你們不會存彼此傷害的心，卻會<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 和平]相處，按照各人應得的給他。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> And ye will not have a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng mind] to injure one another, but to live<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng peaceably], and to render to every man according to that which is his due.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span>  你們不會讓<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 孩子]挨餓、無衣蔽體，不會容許他們違反神的律法、互相<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 打罵]、服事魔鬼，即罪惡的魁首，或我們祖先所講過的惡靈，他是一切正義的敵人。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> And ye will not suffer your <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng children] that they go hungry, or naked; neither will ye <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng suffer] that they transgress the laws of God, and fight and <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng quarrel] one with another, and serve the devil, who is the master of sin, or who is the <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng evil] spirit which hath been spoken of by our fathers, he being an enemy to all righteousness.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span>  你們卻會<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 教]他們<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 走]在真理和嚴肅的道上；你們會教他們<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 彼此]相愛，彼此服務。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> But ye will <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng teach] them to <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng walk] in the ways of truth and<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng soberness]; ye will teach them to <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng love] one another, and to serve one another.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span>  你們也會<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 幫助]那些需要你們幫助的人，你們會把財物分給有需要的人；你們不會讓<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 乞丐]向你們提出的要求落空，並趕他出去，任其滅亡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> And also, ye yourselves will <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng succor] those that stand in need of your succor; ye will administer of your substance unto him that standeth in need; and ye will not suffer that the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng beggar] putteth up his petition to you in vain, and turn him out to perish.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span>  你們或許會<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 說]：那人自作自受；所以我要停住我的手，不把我的食物給他，也不把我的財物給他，使他不致受苦，因為他的懲罰是公平的──</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> Perhaps thou shalt <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng say]: The man has brought upon himself his misery; therefore I will stay my hand, and will not give unto him of my food, nor impart unto him of my substance that he may not suffer, for his punishments are just—</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span>  但是我告訴你們：世人啊，凡這麼做的就極需悔改；除非他悔改他的所作所為，否則必永遠滅亡，與神國無份。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> But I say unto you, O man, whosoever doeth this the same hath great cause to repent; and except he repenteth of that which he hath done he perisheth forever, and hath no interest in the kingdom of God.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span>  看啊，我們豈不都是乞丐嗎？我們所擁有的財物，還有食物和衣服、金子和銀子，以及我們所擁有的各樣財富，不都仰賴那同一位神嗎？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> For behold, are we not all <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng beggars]? Do we not all depend upon the same Being, even God, for all the substance which we have, for both food and raiment, and for gold, and for silver, and for all the riches which we have of every kind?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>20</span>  看啊，甚至現在，你們也呼求著祂的名，祈求你們罪的赦免。祂曾讓你們的祈求落空嗎？沒有；祂卻以祂的靈傾注你們，使你們心中充滿<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 快樂]，使你們因極大的快樂而說不出話來。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> And behold, even at this time, ye have been calling on his name, and begging for a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng remission] of your sins. And has he suffered that ye have begged in vain? Nay; he has poured out his<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng Spirit] upon you, and has caused that your hearts should be filled with <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng joy], and has caused that your mouths should be stopped that ye could not find utterance, so exceedingly great was your joy.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span>  現在，如果那位創造你們的神，那位你們的生命，和你們所擁有和所成就的一切都仰賴他的神，尚且把你們憑信心祈求、相信你們必會得到的正當東西賜給你們，那麼你們更是應當如何彼此<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 分享]財物啊。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> And now, if God, who has created you, on whom you are dependent for your lives and for all that ye have and are, doth grant unto you whatsoever ye ask that is right, in faith, believing that ye shall receive, O then, how ye ought to <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng impart] of the substance that ye have one to another.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span>  如果你們<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 論斷]那向你們哀求財物以免滅亡的人，並譴責他，那麼你們因<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=zho 不給]人財物而遭受譴責，豈不更公平嗎？因為那財物並不是你們的，而是神的，就連你們的生命也是屬於祂的；然而，你們既不祈求，也不悔改你們的所作所為。</p>

And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>28</span>  希望你們記住，你們無論誰向鄰人借了什麼，都要照協議歸還所借的東西，否則你們就犯了罪；或許你們因而也使鄰人犯罪。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>28</span> And I would that ye should remember, that whosoever among you <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/4?lang=eng borroweth] of his neighbor should return the thing that he borroweth, according as he doth agree, or else thou shalt commit sin; and perhaps thou shalt cause thy neighbor to commit sin also.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>29</span> And finally, I cannot tell you all the things whereby ye may commit sin; for there are divers ways and means, even so many that I cannot number them.</p>

And now, O man, remember, and perish not.</p>
