<p class='chinese'>阿爾瑪胸懷天使般的熱誠，切望呼籲悔改──主准許各族有自己的教師──阿爾瑪以主的事工為榮，也以艾蒙和他弟兄的成功為榮。約主前七六年。</p>
<p class='english'>Alma desires to cry repentance with angelic zeal—The Lord grants teachers for all nations—Alma glories in the Lord’s work and in the success of Ammon and his brethren. About 76 B.C.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span> 啊，但願我是天使，但願我能實現心中的願望，用神的號角，以震動大地的聲音講話，向每一個民族呼籲悔改！</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> O that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart, that I might go forth and speak with the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng trump] of God, with a voice to shake the earth, and cry repentance unto every people!</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span> 是的，我要以雷鳴般的聲音，向每一個靈魂宣講悔改和救贖計畫，使他們悔改而<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/2a 歸向]我們的神，讓整個地面上不再有憂傷。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> Yea, I would declare unto every soul, as with the voice of thunder, repentance and the plan of redemption, that they should repent and <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng come] unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span> 但是看啊，我是個凡人，我有罪了，我不該有這種願望，因為我應該以主分派給我的事而滿足。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> But behold, I am a man, and do sin in my wish; for I ought to be content with the things which the Lord hath allotted unto me.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span> 我不該以私願阻擾公正之神的堅定命令，因為我知道，祂按照世人的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/4a 願望]賜給他們死亡或生命；是的，我知道，祂以不變的命令來命令世人，祂會按照他們的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/4b 意願]賜給他們救恩或毀滅。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> I ought not to harrow up in my desires the firm decree of a just God, for I know that he granteth unto men according to their<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng desire], whether it be unto death or unto life; yea, I know that he allotteth unto men, yea, decreeth unto them decrees which are unalterable, according to their <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng wills], whether they be unto salvation or unto destruction.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 是的，我知道善與惡已擺在所有的人面前；不知善惡者無可指摘；但是，<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/5a 知道]善惡的人，就會按照他的願望賜給他，不論他想要的是善或惡，生命或死亡，快樂或<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/5b 良心]的譴責。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> Yea, and I know that good and evil have come before all men; he that knoweth not good from evil is <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng blameless]; but he that<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng knoweth] good and evil, to him it is given according to his desires, whether he desireth good or evil, life or death, joy or remorse of <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng conscience].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 我既已知道這些事，為何還想做超過我所蒙召的工作呢？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> Now, seeing that I know these things, why should I desire more than to <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng perform] the work to which I have been called?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 為何我還希望作個天使，向大地各端宣講呢？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> Why should I desire that I were an angel, that I could speak unto all the ends of the earth?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 因為看啊，主已准許<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/8a 各族]以他們自己的同胞和<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/8b 語言]，教導祂的話，是的，教導祂的智慧<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/8c 認為]適合他們的事；所以我們知道，主憑著公正與真理，以智慧勸導人。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> For behold, the Lord doth <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng grant] unto <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng all] nations, of their own nation and <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng tongue], to teach his word, yea, in wisdom, all that he<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng seeth] fit that they should have; therefore we see that the Lord doth counsel in wisdom, according to that which is just and true.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span> 我知道主命令我的事，並因此感到光榮。我不<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/9a 以]自己為榮，而是以主命令我的事為榮；是的，這是我的光榮，因為我或許能成為神手中的工具，帶領一些靈魂悔改；這也是我的快樂。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng not] <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng glory] of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 看啊，看到很多弟兄真誠悔悟，歸向主他們的神，我的靈魂就充滿了快樂，我就記起<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/10a 主]為我做的事，是的，祂甚至垂聽我的祈禱；是的，我記起祂向我伸出的慈悲臂膀。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And behold, when I see many of my brethren truly penitent, and coming to the Lord their God, then is my soul filled with joy; then do I remember <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng what] the Lord has done for me, yea, even that he hath heard my prayer; yea, then do I remember his merciful arm which he extended towards me.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 是的，我也記起祖先受奴役的事；我確實知道，<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/11a 主]救他們脫離束縛，並藉此建立了祂的教會；是的，主神，這位亞伯拉罕的神，以撒的神和雅各的神，救他們脫離束縛。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> Yea, and I also remember the captivity of my fathers; for I surely do know that the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng Lord] did deliver them out of bondage, and by this did establish his church; yea, the Lord God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, did deliver them out of bondage.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 是的，我常常記得祖先受奴役的事；<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/12a 救]他們脫離埃及人之手的同一位神，也救他們脫離束縛。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> Yea, I have always remembered the captivity of my fathers; and that same God who <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng delivered] them out of the hands of the Egyptians did deliver them out of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng bondage].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 是的，那同一位神在他們當中建立了祂的教會；是的，那同一位神，以神聖的召喚來召喚我向這人民宣講祂的話，並賜給我相當的成功，我因這些成功而有十足的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/13a 快樂]。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> Yea, and that same God did establish his church among them; yea, and that same God hath called me by a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng holy] calling, to<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng preach] the word unto this people, and hath given me much success, in the which my joy is full.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> 我不僅為自己的成功而快樂，更為我那些上去尼腓地的弟兄獲得的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/29/14a 成功]而快樂。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> But I do not joy in my own <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng success] alone, but my joy is more full because of the success of my brethren, who have been up to the land of Nephi.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 看啊，他們辛勤工作，並且結出許多果子；他們的酬賞該是多麼大啊！</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> Behold, they have labored exceedingly, and have brought forth much fruit; and how great shall be their reward!</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span> 一想到我這些弟兄的成功，我的靈魂就好像出竅了，甚至和身體分開，我真是快樂無比。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> Now, when I think of the success of these my brethren my soul is carried away, even to the separation of it from the body, as it were, so great is my <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/29?lang=eng joy].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span> 願神恩准，讓我這些弟兄能坐在神的國度中；是的，也讓那些人，就是他們辛勞所結出的果子，不再離開，讓他們永遠讚頌祂。願神恩准，讓這一切都照我說的話實現。阿們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> And now may God grant unto these, my brethren, that they may sit down in the kingdom of God; yea, and also all those who are the fruit of their labors that they may go no more out, but that they may praise him forever. And may God grant that it may be done according to my words, even as I have spoken. Amen.</p>
