<p class='english'>Sexual sin is an abomination—Corianton’s sins kept the Zoramites from receiving the word—Christ’s redemption is retroactive in saving the faithful who preceded it. About 74 B.C.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span> 我兒，我對你講的話要比對你哥哥講的多些；因為看啊，難道你沒有看到你哥哥的堅定、忠信，和他遵守神誡命的努力嗎？看啊，難道他沒有為你樹立好榜樣嗎？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> And now, my <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng son], I have somewhat more to say unto thee than what I said unto thy brother; for behold, have ye not observed the steadiness of thy brother, his faithfulness, and his diligence in keeping the commandments of God? Behold, has he not set a good <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng example] for thee?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span> 因為在<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/2a 卓倫]人當中，你沒有像你哥哥那樣那麼留意我的話。你一直誇耀自己的力量和聰明，這就是我對你不滿的事情。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> For thou didst not give so much heed unto my words as did thy brother, among the people of the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng Zoramites]. Now this is what I have against thee; thou didst go on unto boasting in thy strength and thy wisdom.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> And this is not all, my son. Thou didst do that which was grievous unto me; for thou didst forsake the ministry, and did go over into the land of Siron among the borders of the Lamanites, after the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng harlot] Isabel.</p>

Thou shouldst have tended to the ministry wherewith thou wast entrusted.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 我兒，難道你不知道<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/5a 這些]事在神眼中是一種憎行，是的，除了流無辜者的血或否認聖靈以外，是所有罪中最可憎的嗎？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> Know ye not, my son, that these things are an abomination in the sight of the Lord; yea, most <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng abominable] above all sins save it be the shedding of innocent <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng blood] or denying the Holy Ghost?</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> For behold, if ye <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng deny] the Holy Ghost when it once has had place in you, and ye know that ye deny it, behold, this is a sin which is <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng unpardonable]; yea, and whosoever murdereth against the light and knowledge of God, it is not easy for him to obtain<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng forgiveness]; yea, I say unto you, my son, that it is not easy for him to obtain a forgiveness.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 我兒，我多麼希望你沒有<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/7a 犯]這麼大的罪。要不是為了你好，我實在不願詳述你的罪行，來折磨你的靈魂。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> And now, my son, I would to God that ye had not been <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng guilty]of so great a crime. I would not dwell upon your crimes, to harrow up your soul, if it were not for your good.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 但是看啊，你無法在神前隱藏你的罪行，除非你悔改，否則你的罪必在末日成為對你不利的見證。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> But behold, ye cannot <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng hide] your crimes from God; and except ye repent they will stand as a testimony against you at the last day.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span> 我兒，我希望你悔改並棄絕罪，不要再追求眼睛的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/9a 欲望]，卻要<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/9b 離棄]這些事；除非你這樣做，否則你無法承受神的國。記住，要毅然離棄這些事。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> Now my son, I would that ye should repent and forsake your sins, and go no more after the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng lusts] of your eyes, but <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng cross]yourself in all these things; for except ye do this ye can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God. Oh, remember, and take it upon you, and <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng cross] yourself in these things.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 我命令你，你所做的事一定要與你的哥哥商量，因為看啊，你還年輕，需要哥哥照顧，你要留意他們的勸告。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And I command you to take it upon you to counsel with your elder brothers in your undertakings; for behold, thou art in thy youth, and ye stand in need to be nourished by your brothers. And give heed to their counsel.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 不要讓自己被虛妄愚蠢之事引入歧途，不要再讓魔鬼迷惑你的心，去追求那些邪惡的妓女。看啊，我兒，你害<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/11a 卓倫]人犯了多麼嚴重的罪啊；因為他們看到你的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/11b 行為]，就不願意相信我的話了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> Suffer not yourself to be led away by any vain or foolish thing; suffer not the devil to lead away your heart again after those wicked harlots. Behold, O my son, how great <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng iniquity] ye brought upon the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng Zoramites]; for when they saw your <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng conduct] they would not believe in my words.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 如今主的靈對我說：<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/12a 命令]你的子女行善，以免他們引導許多人的心走向毀滅；因此，我兒，我懷著對神的敬畏，命令你不要再犯罪。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> And now the Spirit of the Lord doth say unto me: <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng Command]thy children to do good, lest they <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng lead] away the hearts of many people to destruction; therefore I command you, my son, in the fear of God, that ye <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng refrain] from your iniquities;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 你當盡意、盡能、盡力轉向主，不要再引導人心去作惡；卻要回到他們那裡，<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/13a 承認]你的過失和所犯的錯誤。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> That ye turn to the Lord with all your mind, might, and strength; that ye lead away the hearts of no more to do wickedly; but rather return unto them, and <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng acknowledge] your faults and that wrong which ye have done.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> <sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/14a 不要]追求這世上的財富和無益的東西；因為看啊，你帶不走那些東西。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng Seek] not after riches nor the vain things of this world; for behold, you cannot carry them with you.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 我兒，現在我想和你講一些有關基督來臨的事。看啊，我告訴你，那一定要來除去世人罪惡的就是祂；是的，祂來向祂的人民宣布救恩的好信息。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> And now, my son, I would say somewhat unto you concerning the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng coming] of Christ. Behold, I say unto you, that it is he that surely shall come to take away the sins of the world; yea, he cometh to declare glad tidings of salvation unto his people.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span> 我兒，你蒙召擔任的事工，就是向這人民宣布這些好信息，準備他們的心；換句話說，就是要使救恩得以臨到他們，讓他們可以準備好<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/39/16a 子孫]的心，在祂來臨時聆聽祂的話。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> And now, my son, this was the ministry unto which ye were called, to declare these glad tidings unto this people, to prepare their minds; or rather that salvation might come unto them, that they may prepare the minds of their <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng children] to hear the word at the time of his coming.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span> 現在我要減輕一些你對此事的疑慮。看啊，你奇怪何以這些事這麼早就讓人知道。看啊，我告訴你，對神而言，現在的一個靈魂和他來臨時的一個靈魂，不是同樣寶貴嗎？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> And now I will ease your mind somewhat on this subject. Behold, you marvel why these things should be known so long beforehand. Behold, I say unto you, is not a soul at this time as precious unto God as a soul will be at the time of his coming?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span> 這些人和他們的子孫，不都同樣必須知道救贖計畫嗎？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> Is it not as necessary that the plan of redemption should be<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng made] known unto this people as well as unto their children?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span> 主現在派天使向我們宣布這些好信息，不是和向我們的子孫宣布，或祂來臨後宣布同樣容易嗎？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> Is it not as easy at this time for the Lord to <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/39?lang=eng send] his angel to declare these glad tidings unto us as unto our children, or as after the time of his coming?</p>
