<p class='english'>Chapter 4</p>
<p class='chinese'>叛離尼腓人的人與拉曼人合力佔領柴雷罕拉地──尼腓人因邪惡而戰敗──教會衰敗，人民變得像拉曼人一樣軟弱。約主前三八年至三○年。</p>
<p class='english'>Nephite dissenters and the Lamanites join forces and take the land of Zarahemla—The Nephites’ defeats come because of their wickedness—The Church dwindles, and the people become weak like the Lamanites. About 38–30 B.C.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span> 事情是這樣的，第五十四年，教會中有許多衝突，人民也起了<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/1a 紛爭]，結果發生許多流血事件。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> And it came to pass in the fifty and fourth year there were many dissensions in the church, and there was also a contention among the people, insomuch that there was much bloodshed.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span> 叛離的那部分人被殺、被驅逐出境後，去到拉曼人國王那裡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> And the rebellious part were slain and driven out of the land, and they did go unto the king of the Lamanites.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span> 事情是這樣的，他們極力煽動拉曼人向尼腓人作戰，但是看啊，拉曼人非常懼怕，不肯聽那些叛離者的話。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> And it came to pass that they did endeavor to stir up the Lamanites to war against the Nephites; but behold, the Lamanites were exceedingly afraid, insomuch that they would not hearken to the words of those dissenters.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span> 但是事情是這樣的，在法官統治的第五十六年，又有<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/4a 叛離]者離開尼腓人上到拉曼人那裡，他們與其他人成功地煽動他們惱怒尼腓人，他們在那一年全面備戰。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> But it came to pass in the fifty and sixth year of the reign of the judges, there were dissenters who went up from the Nephites unto the Lamanites; and they succeeded with those others in stirring them up to anger against the Nephites; and they were all that year preparing for war.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 第五十七年，他們下來和尼腓人作戰，展開死亡的工作；是的，到法官統治的第五十八年，他們成功地佔領了柴雷罕拉地，是的，也佔領了一直到滿地富附近的所有地方。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> And in the fifty and seventh year they did come down against the Nephites to battle, and they did commence the work of death; yea, insomuch that in the fifty and eighth year of the reign of the judges they succeeded in obtaining possession of the land of Zarahemla; yea, and also all the lands, even unto the land which was near the land Bountiful.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 尼腓人和摩羅乃哈的軍隊敗退到滿地富。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> And the Nephites and the armies of Moronihah were driven even into the land of Bountiful;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 他們在那裡鞏固從西海到東海的防線，來抵抗拉曼人；那正好是尼腓人一天的行程；他們鞏固了這條防線，並駐軍以捍衛北部地區。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> And there they did fortify against the Lamanites, from the west sea, even unto the east; it being a day’s journey for a Nephite, on the line which they had fortified and stationed their armies to defend their north country.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 叛離尼腓人的人就這樣靠著拉曼人龐大軍隊的協助，佔領了尼腓人在南方的土地。這些事都發生在法官統治的第五十八年和五十九年。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> And thus those dissenters of the Nephites, with the help of a numerous army of the Lamanites, had obtained all the possession of the Nephites which was in the land southward. And all this was done in the fifty and eighth and ninth years of the reign of the judges.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span> 事情是這樣的，法官統治的第六十年，摩羅乃哈和他的軍隊成功取得了許多土地，是的，收復了許多淪陷在拉曼人手中的城市。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> And it came to pass in the sixtieth year of the reign of the judges, Moronihah did succeed with his armies in obtaining many parts of the land; yea, they regained many cities which had fallen into the hands of the Lamanites.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 事情是這樣的，法官統治的第六十一年，他們成功收復了領土的一半。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And it came to pass in the sixty and first year of the reign of the judges they succeeded in regaining even the half of all their possessions.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 要不是尼腓人以及那些自稱屬於神教會的人的邪惡和憎行，他們絕不會遭受如此慘重的損失及大屠殺。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> Now this great loss of the Nephites, and the great slaughter which was among them, would not have happened had it not been for their wickedness and their abomination which was among them; yea, and it was among those also who professed to belong to the church of God.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 因為他們極為<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/12a 富有]而內心<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/12b 驕傲]，是的，因為他們欺壓<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/12c 貧苦]、不給飢餓的人食物，也不給無衣蔽體的人衣服，摑打謙卑的弟兄、嘲笑神聖的事物、否認預言和啟示之靈、謀殺、掠奪、說謊、偷竊、姦淫、引起極嚴重的紛爭，並叛離到尼腓地的拉曼人當中──</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> And it was because of the pride of their hearts, because of their exceeding riches, yea, it was because of their oppression to the poor, withholding their food from the hungry, withholding their clothing from the naked, and smiting their humble brethren upon the cheek, making a mock of that which was sacred, denying the spirit of prophecy and of revelation, murdering, plundering, lying, stealing, committing adultery, rising up in great contentions, and deserting away into the land of Nephi, among the Lamanites—</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 由於他們罪大惡極並<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/13a 吹噓]自己的力量，他們就只能依靠自己的力量，因此他們並不昌盛，反而受折磨、擊打，被拉曼人驅逐，直到幾乎喪失了全部領土。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> And because of this their great wickedness, and their boastings in their own strength, they were left in their own strength; therefore they did not prosper, but were afflicted and smitten, and driven before the Lamanites, until they had lost possession of almost all their lands.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> 但是看啊，摩羅乃哈因人民邪惡，就對他們宣講了許多事，希拉曼的兒子<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/14a 尼腓]和李海，也向人民宣講了許多事，是的，並針對他們的邪惡，預言許多事，告訴他們如果他們不悔改，會有何事臨到他們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> But behold, Moronihah did preach many things unto the people because of their iniquity, and also Nephi and Lehi, who were the sons of Helaman, did preach many things unto the people, yea, and did prophesy many things unto them concerning their iniquities, and what should come unto them if they did not repent of their sins.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 事情是這樣的，他們悔改了，他們一悔改，就昌盛起來。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> And it came to pass that they did repent, and inasmuch as they did repent they did begin to prosper.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span> 摩羅乃哈見他們悔改了，就放膽率領他們出去，一地又一地，一城又一城，直到他們收復了一半財產和一半土地。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> For when Moronihah saw that they did repent he did venture to lead them forth from place to place, and from city to city, even until they had regained the one-half of their property and the one-half of all their lands.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span> 法官統治的第六十一年就這樣結束了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> And thus ended the sixty and first year of the reign of the judges.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span> 事情是這樣的，法官統治的第六十二年，摩羅乃哈無法再從拉曼人那裡取得任何土地。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> And it came to pass in the sixty and second year of the reign of the judges, that Moronihah could obtain no more possessions over the Lamanites.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span> 因此，他們打消收復其餘土地的計畫，因為拉曼人實在太多，尼腓人不可能得到更多力量來勝過他們；所以摩羅乃哈就以全部軍力守住已收復的部分。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> Therefore they did abandon their design to obtain the remainder of their lands, for so numerous were the Lamanites that it became impossible for the Nephites to obtain more power over them; therefore Moronihah did employ all his armies in maintaining those parts which he had taken.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>20</span> 事情是這樣的，因為拉曼人的人數眾多，尼腓人甚為恐懼，生怕被拉曼人擊敗、踐踏、屠殺和毀滅。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> And it came to pass, because of the greatness of the number of the Lamanites the Nephites were in great fear, lest they should be overpowered, and trodden down, and slain, and destroyed.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span> 是的，他們開始記起阿爾瑪的預言和摩賽亞的話；他們看見自己是倔強的民族，蔑視神的誡命。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> Yea, they began to remember the prophecies of Alma, and also the words of Mosiah; and they saw that they had been a stiffnecked people, and that they had set at naught the commandments of God;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span> 他們已更改且踐踏<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/22a 摩賽亞]的法律，或主命令他向人民頒佈的事；他們看到法律已敗壞，他們已成為邪惡的民族，像拉曼人一樣邪惡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> And that they had altered and trampled under their feet the laws of Mosiah, or that which the Lord commanded him to give unto the people; and they saw that their laws had become corrupted, and that they had become a wicked people, insomuch that they were wicked even like unto the Lamanites.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>23</span> 教會也因他們的邪惡而開始<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/23a 衰敗]，他們開始不相信預言之靈和啟示之靈；神的懲罰就在他們眼前。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>23</span> And because of their iniquity the church had begun to dwindle; and they began to disbelieve in the spirit of prophecy and in the spirit of revelation; and the judgments of God did stare them in the face.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>24</span> 他們看見自己變得像弟兄拉曼人一樣<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/24a 軟弱]，主的靈不再保護他們了；是的，他已退出，因為<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/24b 主]的靈不住在<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/24c 不]聖潔的殿中。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> And they saw that they had become weak, like unto their brethren, the Lamanites, and that the Spirit of the Lord did no more preserve them; yea, it had withdrawn from them because the Spirit of the Lord doth not dwell in unholy temples—</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>25</span> 因此，主不用祂神奇和無比的大能保護他們，因為他們陷入<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/25a 不信]的狀態和可怕的邪惡；他們也知道拉曼人的人數遠超過他們，除非<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/25b 忠於]主他們的神，他們必難逃滅亡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>25</span> Therefore the Lord did cease to preserve them by his miraculous and matchless power, for they had fallen into a state of unbelief and awful wickedness; and they saw that the Lamanites were exceedingly more numerous than they, and except they should cleave unto the Lord their God they must unavoidably perish.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>26</span> 因為看啊，他們見到拉曼人的力量，即使一對一也與他們不相上下。他們因此陷入這嚴重的罪中；是的，他們由於犯罪，<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/4/26a 不]出幾年，就變得軟弱了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>26</span> For behold, they saw that the strength of the Lamanites was as great as their strength, even man for man. And thus had they fallen into this great transgression; yea, thus had they become weak, because of their transgression, in the space of not many years.</p>
