<p class='english'>Chapter 12</p>
<p class='chinese'>世人易變、愚蠢又迅於作惡──主懲戒祂的人民──世人與神的大能相比，顯得微不足道──在審判日，世人將獲得永恆的生命或永恆的罪罰。約主前六年。</p>
<p class='english'>Men are unstable and foolish and quick to do evil—The Lord chastens his people—The nothingness of men is compared with the power of God—In the day of judgment, men will gain everlasting life or everlasting damnation. About 6 B.C.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span> 由此可以看出，人類兒女的心多麼虛偽不定；是的，也可見主以祂偉大無限的良善，祝福所有<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/1a 信靠]祂的人，使他們<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/1b 昌盛]。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> And thus we can behold how false, and also the unsteadiness of the hearts of the children of men; yea, we can see that the Lord in his great infinite goodness doth bless and <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng prosper] those who put their <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng trust] in him.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> Yea, and we may see at the very <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng time] when he doth <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng prosper]his people, yea, in the increase of their fields, their flocks and their herds, and in gold, and in silver, and in all manner of<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng precious] things of every kind and art; sparing their lives, and delivering them out of the hands of their enemies; softening the hearts of their enemies that they should not declare wars against them; yea, and in fine, doing all things for the welfare and happiness of his people; yea, then is the time that they do<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng harden] their hearts, and do <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng forget] the Lord their God, and do<sup class='englishSup'>f</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng trample] under their feet the Holy One—yea, and this because of their ease, and their exceedingly great prosperity.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span> 由此可知，除非主用許多苦難來<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/3a 懲戒]祂的人民，是的，除非祂以死亡、恐怖、飢荒和種種瘟疫懲罰他們，否則他們不會<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/3b 記起]祂。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> And thus we see that except the Lord doth <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng chasten] his people with many afflictions, yea, except he doth visit them with <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng death]and with terror, and with famine and with all manner of pestilence, they will not <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng remember] him.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span> 啊！人類兒女多麼愚蠢、多麼虛榮、多麼邪惡、多麼魔鬼似的，多麼<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/4a 迅]於作惡而多麼遲於行善；是的，他們多麼迅於聽從邪惡者的話，把<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/4b 心]放在世間無益的事物上！</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> O how <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng foolish], and how vain, and how evil, and devilish, and how <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng quick] to do iniquity, and how slow to do good, are the children of men; yea, how quick to hearken unto the words of the evil one, and to set their <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng hearts] upon the vain things of the world!</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 是的，他們多麼迅於<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/5a 自負]，是的，多麼迅於誇耀和做各樣的惡事；多麼遲於記起主他們的神，不側耳聽祂的忠告，是的，多麼遲於<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/5b 走]在智慧的道路上！</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> Yea, how quick to be lifted up in <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng pride]; yea, how quick to<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng boast], and do all manner of that which is iniquity; and how slow are they to remember the Lord their God, and to give ear unto his counsels, yea, how slow to <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng walk] in wisdom’s paths!</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 看啊，他們不願那位<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/6a 創造]他們的主，他們的神<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/6b 管理]和統治他們；儘管祂以偉大的良善和憐憫對待他們，他們仍蔑視祂的忠告，不願祂作他們的領導者。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> Behold, they do not desire that the Lord their God, who hath<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng created] them, should <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng rule] and reign over them; notwithstanding his great goodness and his mercy towards them, they do set at<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng naught] his counsels, and they will not that he should be their guide.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 人類兒女是多麼<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/7a 微不足道]啊；是的，他們甚至不如地上的塵土。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> O how great is the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng nothingness] of the children of men; yea, even they are <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng less] than the dust of the earth.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 因為看啊，地上的塵土在我們偉大而永恆之神的命令下向四處移動，甚至崩裂。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> For behold, the dust of the earth moveth hither and thither, to the dividing asunder, at the command of our great and everlasting God.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span> 是的，看啊，祂的聲音能使山嶽顫抖<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/9a 震動]。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> Yea, behold at his <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng voice] do the hills and the mountains tremble and <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng quake].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 祂聲音的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/10a 力量]能使山嶽崩裂而夷為平地，是的，就像山谷一樣。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And by the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng power] of his voice they are broken up, and become smooth, yea, even like unto a valley.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 是的，祂聲音的力量能使<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/11a 整個]大地搖撼；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> Yea, by the power of his voice doth the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng whole] earth shake;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 是的，祂聲音的力量能使地基振盪，直達地心。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> Yea, by the power of his voice, do the foundations rock, even to the very center.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 是的，若祂對大地說──動──大地就動了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> Yea, and if he say unto the earth—Move—it is moved.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> 是的，若祂對<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/14a 大地]說──<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/14b 倒轉]吧，讓一天<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/14c 多]幾個時辰──事就這樣成了；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> Yea, if he say unto the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng earth]—Thou shalt <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng go] back, that it<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng lengthen] out the day for many hours—it is done;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 因此，大地就按照祂的話倒轉了，世人看來像是太陽靜止不動；是的，看啊，就是如此，因為確實是大地在動，不是太陽。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> And thus, according to his word the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng earth] goeth back, and it appeareth unto man that the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng sun] standeth still; yea, and behold, this is so; for surely it is the earth that moveth and not the sun.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span> 看啊，再者，若祂對大海的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/16a 水]說──<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/16b 乾涸]吧──事就這樣成了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> And behold, also, if he say unto the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng waters] of the great deep—<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng Be] thou dried up—it is done.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span> 看啊，若祂對這座山說──升起來，<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/17a 過來]落在那座城上，覆沒那城──看啊，事就這樣成了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> Behold, if he say unto this mountain—Be thou raised up, and<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng come] over and fall upon that city, that it be buried up—behold it is done.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span> 看啊，若有人將寶物<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/18a 藏]在地裡，而主說──讓這寶物因藏寶人所犯的罪而被<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/18b 詛咒]吧──看啊，這寶物就被詛咒了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> And behold, if a man <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng hide] up a treasure in the earth, and the Lord shall say—Let it be <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng accursed], because of the iniquity of him who hath hid it up—behold, it shall be accursed.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span> 若主說──你被詛咒了，從現在到永遠，無人能找到你──看啊，從現在到永遠，必無人能得到這寶物。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> And if the Lord shall say—Be thou accursed, that no man shall find thee from this time henceforth and forever—behold, no man getteth it henceforth and forever.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>20</span> 看啊，若主對某人說──由於你的罪，你必永遠受詛咒──這話就必實現。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> And behold, if the Lord shall say unto a man—Because of thine iniquities, thou shalt be accursed <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng forever]—it shall be done.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span> 若主說──由於你的罪，你必被剪除，與我隔絕──祂必讓事情如此。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> And if the Lord shall say—Because of thine iniquities thou shalt be <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng cut] off from my presence—he will cause that it shall be so.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span> 祂對誰講這話，誰就有禍了，這事必發生在犯罪的人身上，那犯罪的人就無法得救了；因此，為了這緣故，為了使世人可以得救，宣布了悔改的信息。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> And wo unto him to whom he shall say this, for it shall be unto him that will do iniquity, and he cannot be <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng saved]; therefore, for this cause, that men might be saved, hath repentance been declared.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>23</span> 因此，凡悔改而聽從主他們神的聲音的人有福了，因為他們就是那些可以<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/23a 得救]的人。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>23</span> Therefore, blessed are they who will repent and hearken unto the voice of the Lord their God; for these are they that shall be saved.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>24</span> 願神因祂偉大的完美，恩准世人被引領悔改和行善，使他們得以按自己的行為，回復到<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/hel/12/24a 恩]上加恩的情況。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> And may God grant, in his great fulness, that men might be brought unto repentance and good works, that they might be restored unto grace for <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng grace], according to their works.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>25</span> 我希望所有的人都能得救。但我們讀過，在最後的大日子，有些人將被趕出，是的，被拋棄，與主隔絕。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>25</span> And I would that all men might be saved. But we read that in the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng great] and last day there are some who shall be cast out, yea, who shall be cast off from the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng presence] of the Lord;</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>26</span> Yea, who shall be consigned to a state of endless misery, fulfilling the words which say: They that have done good shall have <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng everlasting] life; and they that have done evil shall have everlasting <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/hel/12?lang=eng damnation].
