<p class='english'>The Nephites repent and forsake their sins—Mormon writes the history of his people and declares the everlasting word to them—Israel will be gathered in from her long dispersion. About A.D. 22–26.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span> 現在看啊，全體尼腓人中沒有一個人對所有發言的聖先知的話有絲毫懷疑；因為他們知道那些話必會應驗。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> And now behold, there was not a living soul among all the people of the Nephites who did <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng doubt] in the least the words of all the holy prophets who had spoken; for they knew that it must needs be that they must be fulfilled.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> And they knew that it must be expedient that Christ had come, because of the many signs which had been given, according to the words of the prophets; and because of the things which had come to pass already they knew that it must needs be that all things should come to pass according to that which had been spoken.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span> 因此他們棄絕一切罪惡、憎行和淫亂，盡最大的努力日夜事奉神。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> Therefore they did forsake all their sins, and their abominations, and their whoredoms, and did serve God with all diligence day and night.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And now it came to pass that when they had taken all the robbers prisoners, insomuch that none did escape who were not slain, they did cast their prisoners into prison, and did cause the word of God to be preached unto them; and as many as would repent of their sins and <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng enter] into a <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng covenant] that they would murder no more were set at <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng liberty].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 但是凡不立約及仍心存祕密謀殺的，是的，凡被發現出言威脅弟兄的，都依法予以判罪和懲罰。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> But as many as there were who did not enter into a covenant, and who did still continue to have those <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng secret] murders in their hearts, yea, as many as were found breathing out threatenings against their brethren were condemned and punished according to the law.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 他們就這樣清除了所有邪惡、祕密而可憎的幫派；那些幫派曾作惡多端，殺人無數。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> And thus they did put an end to all those wicked, and secret, and abominable combinations, in the which there was so much wickedness, and so many murders committed.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> And thus had the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng twenty] and second year passed away, and the twenty and third year also, and the twenty and fourth, and the twenty and fifth; and thus had twenty and five years passed away.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> And there had many things transpired which, in the eyes of some, would be great and marvelous; nevertheless, they cannot all be written in this book; yea, this book cannot contain even a<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng hundredth] part of what was done among so many people in the space of twenty and five years;</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> But behold there are <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng records] which do contain <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng all] the proceedings of this people; and a <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng shorter] but true account was given by Nephi.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> And now I make an end of my saying, which is of myself, and proceed to give my account of the things which have been before me.</p>

I have reason to bless my God and my Savior Jesus Christ, that he brought our fathers out of the land of Jerusalem, (and <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng no] one knew it save it were himself and those whom he brought out of that land) and that he hath given me and my people so much knowledge unto the salvation of our souls.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> Surely he hath <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng blessed] the house of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng Jacob], and hath been<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng merciful] unto the seed of Joseph.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span> <sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/3_ne/5/22a 只要]李海的子孫遵守祂的誡命，祂就按照祂的話祝福他們，使他們昌盛。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> And <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng insomuch] as the children of Lehi have kept his commandments he hath blessed them and prospered them according to his word.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>24</span> 像主活著一樣確實，祂必從大地四方<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/3_ne/5/24a 聚集]分散於整個地面上的雅各後裔的所有遺裔。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> And as surely as the Lord liveth, will he <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng gather] in from the four quarters of the earth all the remnant of the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng seed] of Jacob, who are scattered abroad upon all the face of the earth.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>25</span> And as he hath <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng covenanted] with all the house of Jacob, even so shall the covenant wherewith he hath covenanted with the house of Jacob be fulfilled in his own due time, unto the<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/5?lang=eng restoring] all the house of Jacob unto the knowledge of the covenant that he hath covenanted with them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>26</span> 那時他們必<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/3_ne/5/26a 認識]他們的救贖主，祂就是耶穌基督，神的兒子；然後他們必從大地四方聚集到自己的土地上；他們就是從那裡分散出來的；是的，就像主活著一樣，這事也必成為事實。阿們。</p>
