<p class='english'>Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Far West, Missouri, 26 April 1838, making known the will of God concerning the building up of that place and of the Lord’s house (see History of the Church, 3:23–25). This revelation is addressed to the presiding officers of the Church.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> And also unto my faithful servants who are of the high council of my <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/115?lang=eng church] in Zion, for thus it shall be called, and unto all the elders and people of my Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, scattered abroad in all the world;</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> Let the city, Far West, be a holy and consecrated land unto me; and it shall be called most holy, for the ground upon which thou standest is <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/115?lang=eng holy].</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span> 今年夏天，這工作要有個開始，有個基礎和準備的工作；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> And let there be a beginning of this work, and a foundation, and a preparatory work, this following summer;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 這開始要定在今年七月四日；從那時起，我的人民要勤奮地工作，為我的名建一所家宅；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And let the beginning be made on the fourth day of July next; and from that time forth let my people <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/115?lang=eng labor] diligently to build a house unto my name;</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> And in <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/115?lang=eng one] year from this day let them re-commence laying the foundation of my <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/115?lang=eng house].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 因此，從那時起，他們要勤奮地工作，直到完工，從房角石到屋頂，直到沒有一件事不被完成。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> Thus let them from that time forth labor diligently until it shall be finished, from the cornerstone thereof unto the top thereof, until there shall not anything remain that is not finished.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 我實在告訴你們，不要讓我僕人約瑟、我僕人西德尼和我僕人海侖，再為了為我的名建造家宅而負債；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> Verily I say unto you, let not my servant Joseph, neither my servant Sidney, neither my servant Hyrum, get in <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/115?lang=eng debt] any more for the building of a house unto my name;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> 但是要按照我指示他們的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/115/14a 樣式]，為我的名建造一所家宅。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> But let a house be built unto my name according to the<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/115?lang=eng pattern] which I will show unto them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 如果我的人民不按照我將指示他們會長團的樣式建造，我不會從他們手中接受那家宅。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> And if my people build it not according to the pattern which I shall show unto their presidency, I will not accept it at their hands.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span> 但是如果我的人民確實按照我將指示他們的會長團，即我僕人約瑟和他的副會長的樣式建造，那麼我必從我人民手中接受那家宅。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> But if my people do build it according to the pattern which I shall show unto their presidency, even my servant Joseph and his counselors, then I will accept it at the hands of my people.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span> 還有，我實在告訴你們，我的旨意是，應藉著我的聖徒的聚集，迅速將遠西城建設起來；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> And again, verily I say unto you, it is my will that the city of Far West should be built up speedily by the gathering of my saints;</p>
