<p class='chinese'>天父賜給我們每一個人特別的恩賜、才幹和能力。</p>

<p class='english'> We all have special gifts, talents, and abilities given to us by our Heavenly Father.</p>

<p class='chinese'>我們出生時，就帶著這些恩賜、才幹和能力而來（見本書第2 章）。</p>

<p class='english'> When we were born, we brought these gifts, talents, and abilities with us (see chapter 2 in this book) .</p>

<p class='chinese'>先知摩西是一位偉大的領袖，但他需要他的哥哥亞倫作他的代言人（見出埃及記4：14-16）。</p>

<p class='english'>The prophet Moses was a great leader, but he needed Aaron, his brother, to help as a spokesman (see Exodus 4:14–16).</p>

<p class='english'> Some of us are leaders like Moses or good speakers like Aaron.</p>

<p class='english'>• How can we develop our talents ?</p>

<p class='chinese'>我們有責任培養自己被賦予的才幹。</p>

<p class='english'>We have a responsibility to develop the talents we have been given .</p>

<p class='chinese'>有時候，我們會以為自己沒有什麼才幹，或者認為別人擁有的能力比我們多。</p>

<p class='english'>Sometimes we think we do not have many talents or that other people have been blessed with more abilities than we possess .</p>

<p class='chinese'>有時候，我們會因為害怕失敗或被人批評而不運用我們的才幹。</p>

<p class='english'>Sometimes we do not use our talents because we are afraid that we might fail or be criticized by others.</p>

<p class='chinese'>我們不應該隱藏自己的才幹，要好好運用才是。</p>

<p class='english'> We should not hide our talents .</p>

<p class='english'>We should use them.</p>

<p class='chinese'>這樣，別人才能看到我們的好行為而榮耀天父（見馬太福音5：16）。</p>

<p class='english'> Then others can see our good works and glorify our Heavenly Father (see Matthew 5:16) .</p>

<p class='chinese'>要培養才幹就必須做到幾件事。</p>

<p class='english'>There are certain things we must do to develop our talents.</p>

<p class='chinese'>第一，我們要先發掘自己有哪些才幹。</p>

<p class='english'> First, we must discover our talents.</p>

<p class='chinese'>我們應該評估自己，找出我們的優點和能力。</p>

<p class='english'> We should evaluate ourselves to find our strengths and abilities.</p>

<p class='chinese'>家人和朋友都可以在這方面幫助我們。</p>

<p class='english'> Our family and friends can help us do this .</p>

<p class='chinese'>我們也應祈求天父幫助我們了解自己有哪些才幹。</p>

<p class='english'>We should also ask our Heavenly Father to help us learn about our talents .</p>

<p class='chinese'>第二，我們必須願意花時間和精神去培養所尋求的才幹。</p>

<p class='english'>Second, we must be willing to spend the time and effort to develop the talent we are seeking .</p>

<p class='chinese'>第三，我們一定要相信天父會幫助我們，而且一定要對自己有信心。</p>

<p class='english'>Third, we must have faith that our Heavenly Father will help us, and we must have faith in ourselves .</p>

<p class='chinese'>第四，為了培養才幹，我們必須學習必要的技能。</p>

<p class='english'>Fourth, we must learn the skills necessary for us to develop our talents.</p>

<p class='chinese'>我們可以去上課，請教朋友，或閱讀相關書籍。</p>

<p class='english'> We might do this by taking a class, asking a friend to teach us, or reading a book .</p>

<p class='chinese'>第五，我們必須練習運用我們的才幹。</p>

<p class='english'>Fifth, we must practice using our talent.</p>

<p class='chinese'>每一種才幹都需要下功夫，努力去培養。</p>

<p class='english'> Every talent takes effort and work to develop.</p>

<p class='chinese'>要精通一項才幹是需要付出代價的。</p>

<p class='english'> The mastery of a talent must be earned .</p>

<p class='chinese'>第六，我們必須和別人分享我們的才幹。</p>

<p class='english'>Sixth, we must share our talent with others.</p>

<p class='chinese'>才幹越常運用，就越發精進（見馬太福音25：29）。</p>

<p class='english'> It is by our using our talents that they grow (see Matthew 25:29) .</p>

<p class='chinese'>如果我們祈禱並尋求主的協助，這些步驟就會變得更容易。</p>

<p class='english'>All of these steps are easier if we pray and seek the Lord’s help.</p>

<p class='chinese'>主希望我們培養才幹，所以祂會幫助我們。</p>

<p class='english'> He wants us to develop our talents, and He will help us .</p>

We Can Develop Our Talents in Spite of Our Weaknesses
</div>

<p class='chinese'>● 儘管我們有缺點，但我們還是可以用哪些方法來培養我們的才幹？</p>

<p class='english'>• How can we develop our talents in spite of our weaknesses ?</p>

<p class='chinese'>由於我們是在墜落狀態中的凡人，所以我們都有缺點。</p>

<p class='english'>Because we are mortal and fallen, we have weaknesses.</p>

<p class='chinese'>在主的幫助下，我們的缺點和墜落的狀態是可以克服的（見以帖書12：27，37）。</p>

<p class='english'> With the Lord’s help, our weakness and fallen nature can be overcome (see Ether 12:27, 37).</p>

<p class='chinese'>貝多芬在耳聾以後，創作出最偉大的作品。</p>

<p class='english'> Beethoven composed his greatest music after he was deaf.</p>

<p class='chinese'>以諾克服了言語遲鈍的問題，成了一位很有影響力的教師（見摩西書6：26-47）。</p>

<p class='english'> Enoch overcame his slowness of speech to become a powerful teacher (see Moses 6:26–47) .</p>

<p class='chinese'>有些傑出的運動員在成功地培養他們的才幹以前，克服了身體上的障礙。</p>

<p class='english'>Some great athletes have had to overcome handicaps before they have succeeded in developing their talents.</p>

<p class='chinese'>雪麗．麥恩（ Shelly Mann）就是這樣的一個例子。</p>

<p class='english'> Shelly Mann was such an example .</p>

<p class='chinese'>「她五歲時得了小兒痲痺症……她的父母每天帶她去游泳，希望水可以幫助她把手臂抬起來，讓她可以再度使用雙手。</p>

<p class='english'>“At the age of five she had polio.</p>

<p class='english'> ... Her parents took her daily to a swimming pool where they hoped the water would help hold her arms up as she tried to use them again.</p>

<p class='chinese'>當她能靠自己的力氣把手伸出水面時，她高興地哭了。</p>

<p class='english'> When she could lift her arm out of the water with her own power, she cried for joy.</p>

<p class='chinese'>她下一個目標是要游過池子的寬度，然後是長度，然後要來回游好幾趟。</p>

<p class='english'> Then her goal was to swim the width of the pool, then the length, then several lengths.</p>

<p class='chinese'>她日復一日，不斷努力和練習，終於贏得一面〔奧運〕蝶式金牌──這是所有泳式中最難的一種」（Marvin J. Ashton, inConference Report, Apr. 1975, 127; or Ensign, May 1975, 86）。</p>

<p class='english'> She kept on trying, swimming, enduring, day after day after day, until she won the [Olympic] gold medal for the butterfly stroke— one of the most difficult of all swimming strokes” (Marvin J. Ashton, in Conference Report, Apr. 1975, 127; or Ensign, May 1975, 86) .</p>

<p class='chinese'>禧伯．郭會長也克服了許多缺點，並將它們一一轉變成自己的才幹。</p>

<p class='english'>Heber J. Grant overcame many of his weaknesses and turned them into talents.</p>

<p class='chinese'>他的座右銘是：「持之以恆就能化難為易；不是事情的本質改變了，而是我們的能力增強了」（總會會長的教訓：禧伯．郭，第35 頁）。</p>

<p class='english'> He had as a motto these words: “That which we persist in doing becomes easier for us to do; not that the nature of the thing is changed, but that our power to do is increased” (in Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Heber J. Grant [2002], 35) .</p>

明智運用才幹，必蒙主的祝福<br>
The Lord Will Bless Us If We Use Our Talents Wisely
</div>

<p class='chinese'>約瑟F.．斯密會長說過：「神的每位兒女都得到一些才幹，每個人都要為有沒有明智運用這些才幹負完全的責任」（GospelDoctrine, 5th ed. [1939], 370）。</p>

<p class='english'> President Joseph F. Smith said, “Every son and every daughter of God has received some talent, and each will be held to strict account for the use or misuse to which it is put” (Gospel Doctrine, 5 th ed. [1939], 370).</p>

<p class='chinese'>才幹是一種管家職務（在神國度中的責任）。</p>

<p class='english'> A talent is one kind of stewardship (responsibility in the kingdom of God).</p>

<p class='chinese'>才幹的比喻告訴我們，只要我們盡忠職守，就會被給予更大的責任。</p>

<p class='english'> The parable of the talents tells us that when we serve well in our stewardship, we will be given greater responsibilities.</p>

<p class='chinese'>如果虧於職守，我們的管家職務最後一定會被取走。（見馬太福音25：14-30。）</p>

<p class='english'> If we do not serve well, our stewardship will eventually be taken from us. (See Matthew 25:14–30.)</p>

<p class='chinese'>我們也從經文中得知，我們會按照自己的行為受審判（見馬太福音16：27）。</p>

<p class='english'> We are also told in the scriptures that we will be judged according to our works (see Matthew 16:27).</p>

<p class='chinese'>培養並運用我們的才幹來造福他人，就是在做好事。</p>

<p class='english'> By developing and using our talents for other people, we perform good works .</p>

<p class='chinese'>我們明智運用才幹時，主就喜悅。</p>

<p class='english'>The Lord is pleased when we use our talents wisely.</p>

<p class='chinese'>如果我們為他人的益處和建立祂在世上的國度而運用才幹，主必會祝福我們。</p>

<p class='english'> He will bless us if we use our talents to benefit other people and to build up His kingdom here on earth.</p>

<p class='chinese'>我們獲得的祝福包括為這世上的弟兄姊妹服務而得到的喜悅和愛。</p>

<p class='english'> Some of the blessings we gain are joy and love from serving our brothers and sisters here on earth.</p>

<p class='chinese'>我們也學習自制。</p>

<p class='english'> We also learn self-control.</p>

<p class='chinese'>如果我們想再次配稱與天父同住的話，這些事情都是必要的。</p>

<p class='english'> All these things are necessary if we are going to be worthy to live with our Heavenly Father again .</p>

<p class='chinese'>● 有哪些人的例子說明才幹會因為明智地運用而被擴大？</p>

<p class='english'>• What are some examples of people whose talents have been magnified because they used them wisely?</p>

<p class='chinese'>（想一想你所認識的人，或者是經文或教會歷史上的人物。</p>

<p class='english'> (Consider people you know or people in the scriptures or Church history.)</p>

<p class='english'>  For teachers: One way to show class members that you care about them individually is to call them by name.</p>
