<p class='english'>Lehi’s seed are to receive the gospel from the Gentiles in the latter days—The gathering of Israel is likened unto an olive tree whose natural branches will be grafted in again—Nephi interprets the vision of the tree of life and speaks of the justice of God in dividing the wicked from the righteous. About 600–592 B.C.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> And it came to pass that after I, Nephi, had been carried away in the spirit, and seen all these things, I returned to the tent of my father.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And now I, Nephi, was grieved because of the hardness of their hearts, and also, because of the things which I had seen, and knew they must unavoidably come to pass because of the great wickedness of the children of men.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> Behold, I say unto you, that the house of Israel was compared unto an olive tree, by the Spirit of the Lord which was in our father; and behold are we not broken off from the house of Israel, and are we not a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng branch] of the house of Israel?</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> And now, the thing which our father meaneth concerning the grafting in of the natural branches through the fulness of the Gentiles, is, that in the latter days, when our seed shall have<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng dwindled] in unbelief, yea, for the space of many years, and many generations after the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng Messiah] shall be manifested in body unto the children of men, then shall the fulness of the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng gospel] of the Messiah come unto the Gentiles, and from the <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng Gentiles] unto the remnant of our seed—</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> And at that day shall the remnant of our <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng seed] <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng know] that they are of the house of Israel, and that they are the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng covenant] people of the Lord; and then shall they know and <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng come] to the<sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng knowledge] of their forefathers, and also to the knowledge of the gospel of their Redeemer, which was ministered unto their fathers by him; wherefore, they shall come to the knowledge of their Redeemer and the very points of his doctrine, that they may know how to come unto him and be saved.</p>

Yea, at that day, will they not receive the strength and nourishment from the true <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng vine]? Yea, will they not come unto the true fold of God?</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> Behold, I say unto you, Yea; they shall be remembered again among the house of Israel; they shall be <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng grafted] in, being a natural branch of the olive tree, into the true olive tree.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> And this is what our father meaneth; and he meaneth that it will not come to pass until after they are scattered by the Gentiles; and he meaneth that it shall come by way of the Gentiles, that the Lord may show his power unto the Gentiles, for the very cause that he shall be <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng rejected] of the Jews, or of the house of Israel.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> Wherefore, our father hath not spoken of our seed alone, but also of all the house of Israel, pointing to the covenant which should be fulfilled in the latter days; which covenant the Lord made to our father Abraham, saying: In thy <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng seed] shall all the kindreds of the earth be <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng blessed].</p>

And it came to pass that I did speak many words unto my brethren, that they were pacified and did <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng humble] themselves before the Lord.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>25</span>  因此，我，尼腓，勸他們<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 留意]主的話；是的，我用盡心力、竭盡所能勸告他們，要他們留意神的話，記得在一切事上都一直遵守祂的誡命。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>25</span> Wherefore, I, Nephi, did exhort them to give <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng heed] unto the word of the Lord; yea, I did exhort them with all the energies of my soul, and with all the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng faculty] which I possessed, that they would give heed to the word of God and remember to keep his commandments always in all things.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>31</span> And they said unto me: Doth this thing mean the torment of the body in the days of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng probation], or doth it mean the final state of the soul after the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng death] of the temporal body, or doth it speak of the things which are temporal?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>32</span>  事情是這樣的，我對他們說，那是屬世和屬靈兩方面事情的象徵；到那日，他們必按自己的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 行為]受審判，是的，就是按照他們在受驗證的日子中，屬世身體所做的行為受審判。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>32</span> And it came to pass that I said unto them that it was a representation of things both temporal and spiritual; for the day should come that they must be judged of their <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng works], yea, even the works which were done by the temporal body in their days of<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng probation].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>33</span>  因此，如果他們<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 死]在罪惡中，他們就必被<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 拋棄]，與屬靈和與正義有關的事隔絕；因此，他們必被帶去站在神面前，按照他們的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 行為]受<sup class='chineseSup'>ｄ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 審判]；如果他們的行為是污穢的，他們也必然是<sup class='chineseSup'>ｅ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 污穢]的；如果他們是污穢的，他們必不能<sup class='chineseSup'>ｆ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 住]在神的國度中；否則神的國度一定也是污穢的。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>33</span> Wherefore, if they should <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng die] in their wickedness they must be <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng cast] off also, as to the things which are spiritual, which are pertaining to righteousness; wherefore, they must be brought to stand before God, to be <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng judged] of their <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng works]; and if their works have been filthiness they must needs be <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng filthy]; and if they be filthy it must needs be that they cannot <sup class='englishSup'>f</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng dwell] in the kingdom of God; if so, the kingdom of God must be filthy also.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>34</span>  但是看啊，我告訴你們，神的國度不是<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 污穢]的，絕無任何不潔之物能進入神的國度；所以必須為污穢的東西準備一個污穢的地方。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>34</span> But behold, I say unto you, the kingdom of God is not filthy, and there cannot any unclean thing enter into the kingdom of God; wherefore there must needs be a place of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng filthiness] prepared for that which is filthy.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>35</span>  有個地方已準備好了，是的，就是我所講的可怕的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 地獄]，那是<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 魔鬼]準備的；因此由於我所講的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 公道]，世人靈魂的最後狀態，不是住在神的國度中，就是被拋棄。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>35</span> And there is a place prepared, yea, even that <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng awful] <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng hell] of which I have spoken, and the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng devil] is the preparator of it; wherefore the final state of the souls of men is to dwell in the kingdom of God, or to be cast out because of that <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=eng justice] of which I have spoken.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>36</span>  因此，惡人必被排拒於義人之外，也被排拒於<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 生命樹]之外；那樹上的果子比其他所有的果子都珍貴<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 可口]；是的，那是<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 神]一切恩賜中<sup class='chineseSup'>ｄ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/1-ne/15?lang=zho 最大]的。這就是我對哥哥所說的話。阿們。</p>
