<p class='english'>Ephraim and Syria wage war against Judah—Christ will be born of a virgin—Compare Isaiah 7. About 559–545 B.C.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span>  事情是這樣的，猶大王烏西雅的孫子，約坦的兒子亞哈斯在位的時候，亞蘭王利汛和以色列王利瑪利的兒子比加上來攻打耶路撒冷，卻不能攻取。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng And] it came to pass in the days of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng Ahaz] the son of <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng Jotham], the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng Rezin], king of Syria, and<sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng Pekah] the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span>  有人告訴大衛家說：亞蘭與<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 以法蓮]已經同盟。他的心和人民的心就都跳動，好像林中的樹被風吹動一樣。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> And it was told the house of David, saying: Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span>  主對以賽亞說：現在你和你的兒子<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 施亞雅述]出去，到上池的水溝頭，在漂布地的大路上，會見亞哈斯。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> Then said the Lord unto Isaiah: Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng conduit] of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span>  對他說：要謹慎安靜；<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 不要]害怕，也不要因這兩個冒煙的火把頭，因利汛和亞蘭，和利瑪利的兒子所發的烈怒而心裡膽怯。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And say unto him: Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be faint-hearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span>  因為亞蘭、以法蓮，和利瑪利的兒子，設惡計謀害你，說：</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying:</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span>  讓我們上去攻擊猶大，擾亂他，讓我們<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 攻破]他，在其中立他比勒的兒子為王。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> Let us go up against Judah and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, yea, the son of Tabeal.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span>  主神如此說：這惡計必立不住，也不得逞。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> Thus saith the Lord God: <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng It] shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span>  原來亞蘭的首城是大馬士革，大馬士革的首領是利汛；六十五年之內以法蓮必然破壞，不再成為一族。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus, Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng broken] that it be not a people.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span>  以法蓮的首城是撒馬利亞，撒馬利亞的首領是利瑪利的兒子。你們若是<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 不信]，定然不得立穩。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng not] believe surely ye shall not be established.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span>  主又曉諭亞哈斯說：</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> Moreover, the Lord spake again unto Ahaz, saying:</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span>  你向主你的神求一個<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 徵兆]；或求顯在深處，或求顯在高處。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> Ask thee a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng sign] of the Lord thy God; ask it either in the depths, or in the heights above.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span>  亞哈斯說：我不求，我也不<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 試探]主。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> But Ahaz said: I will not ask, neither will I <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng tempt] the Lord.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span>  他說：大衛家啊，你們當聽；你們使人厭煩豈算小事，還要使我的神厭煩嗎？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> And he said: Hear ye now, O house of David; is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span>  因此，主自己要給你們一個徵兆，看啊，必有<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 童女]懷孕生子，給祂起名叫<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 以馬內利]。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> Therefore, the Lord himself shall give you a sign—Behold, a<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng virgin] shall conceive, and shall bear a son, and shall call his name<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng Immanuel].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span>  祂必吃奶油與蜂蜜，使祂能曉得棄惡擇善。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> Butter and <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng honey] shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil and to choose the good.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span>  因為在這<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 孩子]曉得棄惡擇善之先，你所憎惡的那地必為其<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 二]王所棄。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> For <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng before] the child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng both]her kings.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span>  主必使自從<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 以法蓮]離開猶大以來未曾有過的日子，就是亞述王，<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 臨到]你和你的人民，並你的父家。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> The Lord shall <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng bring] upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come from the day that <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng Ephraim] departed from Judah, the king of Assyria.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span>  事情將是這樣，在那日，主<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 要]發嘶聲，使埃及境內最遠之地的蒼蠅，和亞述地的蜜蜂飛來。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span>  他們必飛來，都落在荒涼的谷內、磐石的穴裡和一切荊棘上，並一切灌木上。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>20</span>  在那同一日主必用雇來的剃刀，藉著大河外的人，藉著<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 亞述]王，<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 剃]去頭髮和腳上的毛，並要剃淨鬍鬚。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> In the same day shall the Lord shave with a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=eng razor] that is hired, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet; and it shall also consume the beard.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span>  事情將是這樣，在那日，一個人要<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 養活]一隻母牛犢和兩隻羊。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> And it shall come to pass in that day, a man shall nourish a young cow and two sheep;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span>  事情將是這樣，因為出的奶多，他就得吃奶油；在境內所剩的人，都要吃奶油和蜂蜜。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk they shall give he shall eat butter; for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>23</span>  事情將是這樣，從前凡種一千棵葡萄樹，值銀一千<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 舍]客勒的地方，在那日，必長荊棘和蒺藜。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>23</span> And it shall come to pass in that day, every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, which shall be for briers and thorns.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>24</span>  人上那裡去，必帶弓箭，因為全地遍滿了荊棘和蒺藜。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> With arrows and with bows shall men come thither, because all the land shall become briers and thorns.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>25</span>  所有用鋤刨挖的山嶺，不怕荊棘和蒺藜會上那裡去；卻成了放牛之處，為<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/17?lang=zho 羊]踐踏之地。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>25</span> And all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns; but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and the treading of lesser cattle.</p>
