<p class='english'>Isaiah speaks messianically—The people in darkness will see a great light—Unto us a child is born—He will be the Prince of Peace and will reign on David’s throne—Compare Isaiah 9. About 559–545 B.C.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span>  因為他們所負的軛，和肩頭上的杖，並欺壓者的棍，您都已經折斷。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> For thou hast broken the yoke of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng his] burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng oppressor].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span>  戰士的每一場戰役都喧聲震天，血流滿襟，但這都必作為可燒的，當作柴火。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng this] shall be with burning and fuel of fire.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> For unto us a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng child] is born, unto us a son is given; and the<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng government] shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, The <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng Mighty God], The <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng Everlasting Father], The Prince of <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng Peace].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span>  祂的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 政權]與平安必加增<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 無窮]；祂必在大衛的寶座上，在他的國度上，治理祂的國，以公平公義建立祂的國，從今直到永遠。萬軍之主的熱心，必成就這事。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> Of the increase of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng government] and peace <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng there] is no end, upon the throne of <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng David], and upon his kingdom to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span>  主傳祂的話給雅各，這話就臨到<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 以色列]。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> The Lord sent his word unto Jacob and it hath lighted upon Israel.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span>  所有的人民都要知道，就是以法蓮和撒馬利亞的居民，他們以驕傲自大的心說：</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart:</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span>  磚牆塌了，我們卻要鑿石頭建築，桑樹砍了，我們卻要換成香柏樹。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng stones]; the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng cedars].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span>  因此主會使<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 利汛]的敵人攻擊他，並要聯合他的仇敵；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> Therefore the Lord shall set up the adversaries of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng Rezin]against him, and join his enemies together;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span>  前有亞蘭人，後有非利士人，他們張口要<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 吞]吃以色列；雖然如此，祂的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 怒氣]還未轉消，祂的手仍舊伸出。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> The Syrians before and the Philistines behind; and they shall<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng devour] Israel with open mouth. For all this his <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng anger] is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span>  這人民還沒有<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 歸向]擊打他們的主，也沒有尋求萬軍之主。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> For the people turneth not unto <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng him] that smiteth them, neither do they seek the Lord of Hosts.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span>  因此主一日之間，必從以色列中剪除頭與尾，棕枝與蘆葦。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> Therefore will the Lord cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng in] one day.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span>  長老就是頭；以謊言教人的先知，就是尾。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> The <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng ancient], he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span>  因為引導這人民的，使他們走錯了路；被他們引導的，都必敗亡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> For the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng leaders] of this people cause them to err; and they that are <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng led] of them are destroyed.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span>  所以主必不喜悅他們的少年人，也不<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 憐恤]他們的孤兒寡婦；因為他們各人是偽善的，是行惡的，並且各人的口，都說<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 愚妄]的話；雖然如此，祂的怒氣還未轉消，祂的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 手]仍舊伸出。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng mercy] on their fatherless and <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng widows]; for<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng every] one of them is a hypocrite and an <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng evildoer], and every mouth speaketh <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng folly]. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his <sup class='englishSup'>f</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng hand] is stretched out still.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span>  邪惡像火焚燒，吞滅荊棘和蒺藜；在稠密的樹林中燃起來，像煙柱上騰般升起。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> For <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng wickedness] burneth as the fire; it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forests, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span>  因萬軍之主的烈怒，地都燒黑，人民成為柴火；<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 無人]憐愛弟兄。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> Through the wrath of the Lord of Hosts is the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng land] darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire; <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng no] man shall spare his brother.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>20</span>  他必右邊掠食，仍受飢餓；左邊<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 吞]吃，仍不飽足；各人吃自己臂膀上的肉──</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> And he <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng shall] snatch on the right hand and be hungry; and he shall <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng eat] on the left hand and they shall not be satisfied; they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm—</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span>  <sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 瑪]拿西，<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 以法蓮]；以法蓮，瑪拿西；他們一同攻擊<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=zho 猶大]；雖然如此，祂的怒氣還未轉消，祂的手仍舊伸出。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> Manasseh, <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng Ephraim]; and Ephraim, Manasseh; they together shall be against <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/19?lang=eng Judah]. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.</p>
