<p class='english'>The destruction of Babylon is a type of the destruction at the Second Coming—It will be a day of wrath and vengeance—Babylon (the world) will fall forever—Compare Isaiah 13. About 559–545 B.C.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span>  你們應當在高山上豎立<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 大]旗，向他們揚聲<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 招手]，使他們進入貴冑的門。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng shake] the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span>  我命令我<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 聖化]的人；我召喚我的勇士，我不會向那些因我的尊貴而歡欣的人發怒。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng mighty] ones, for mine anger is not upon them that rejoice in my highness.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> The noise of the multitude in the mountains like as of a great people, a tumultuous noise of the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng kingdoms] of nations <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng gathered]together, the Lord of Hosts mustereth the hosts of the battle.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span>  他們從遠方的國家來，從天邊來，是的，主與祂義憤的兵器，要毀滅這全地。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, yea, the Lord, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span>  你們要哀號，因為主的日子近了；這日來到，好像毀滅從全能者來到。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> Howl ye, for the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng day] of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span>  因此所有的手都必軟弱，人的心都必融化。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> Therefore shall all hands be faint, every man’s heart shall <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng melt];</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span>  他們必驚惶，刺痛和愁苦必將他們抓住；他們必彼此驚奇相看，臉如火焰。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> And they shall be afraid; pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span>  看啊，主的日子臨到，必有帶著憤恨和烈怒的殘忍，使這地荒涼；祂必<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 除]滅其中的罪人。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate; and he shall <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng destroy] the sinners thereof out of it.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span>  天上的星宿和星座都不發光；<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 日頭]一出，就變黑暗，月亮也不放光。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> For the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng stars] of heaven and the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng constellations] thereof shall not give their <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng light]; the <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng sun] shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span>  我必因邪惡，<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 刑罰]世界，因罪孽，刑罰惡人；使<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 驕傲]人的狂妄止息，制伏可怖之人的狂傲。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> And I will <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng punish] the world for evil, and the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng wicked] for their iniquity; I will cause the arrogancy of the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng proud] to cease, and will lay down the haughtiness of the terrible.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span>  我必使<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 人]比精金還珍貴，使人比俄斐純金更珍貴。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> I will make a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng man] more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span>  因此，在萬軍之主的憤恨中，在祂發烈怒的日子，我必使諸天震動，使地搖撼，<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 離]其本位。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> Therefore, I will <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng shake] the heavens, and the earth shall<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng remove] out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of Hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span>  那必像<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 被]追趕的小鹿，像無人收聚的羊，每個人各歸回本族，各逃到本土。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up; and they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng land].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span>  凡驕傲的，必被刺透；是的，凡與惡人同夥的，必倒在劍下。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> Every one that is proud shall be thrust through; yea, and every one that is <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng joined] to the wicked shall fall by the sword.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span>  他們的孩子，必在他們眼前被擊碎；他們的房屋，必被搶奪，而他們的妻子，必被玷污。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> Their <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng children] also shall be <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng dashed] to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled and their wives ravished.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span>  看啊，我必煽動瑪代人來攻擊他們；瑪代人不注重銀子和金子，也不喜愛這些。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> Behold, I will stir up the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng Medes] against them, which shall not regard silver and gold, nor shall they delight in it.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span>  他們的弓必擊碎少年人，他們必不憐憫婦人所生的，他們的眼也不顧惜孩子。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> Their bows shall also dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng pity] on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span>  巴比倫，列國的榮耀，迦勒底人的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 華美]，必像神傾覆<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 所多瑪]和蛾摩拉時一樣。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> And <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng Babylon], the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng Sodom] and Gomorrah.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>20</span>  其內必永無<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 人煙]，世世代代無人居住；阿拉伯人也不在那裡支搭帳篷；牧羊的人，也不在那裡設羊欄。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> It shall never be <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng inhabited], neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span>  只有曠野的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 走獸]臥在那裡；咆哮的獸滿了房屋；貓頭鷹住在那裡；<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 雄]山羊在那裡跳舞。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> But <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=eng wild] beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span>  島上的野獸必在他們荒涼的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 宮]中呼號；<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/23?lang=zho 龍]必在他們華美的殿內吼叫；她的時候臨近，她的日子必不延長。因我必迅速毀滅她；是的，我必憐憫我的人民，但惡人必滅亡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces; and her time is near to come, and her day shall not be prolonged. For I will destroy her speedily; yea, for I will be merciful unto my people, but the wicked shall perish.</p>
