<p class='english'>Joseph in Egypt saw the Nephites in vision—He prophesied of Joseph Smith, the latter-day seer; of Moses, who would deliver Israel; and of the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. About 588–570 B.C.</p>

Thou wast born in the wilderness of mine afflictions; yea, in the days of my greatest sorrow did thy mother bear thee.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> For Joseph truly testified, saying: A <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng seer] shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be a choice seer unto the fruit of my <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng loins].</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> Yea, Joseph truly said: Thus saith the Lord unto me: A choice<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng seer] will I <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng raise] up out of the fruit of thy loins; and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins. And unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren, which shall be of great worth unto them, even to the bringing of them to the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng knowledge] of the covenants which I have made with thy fathers.</p>

And I will make him great in mine eyes; for he shall do my work.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng Moses] will I raise up, to deliver thy people out of the land of Egypt.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span>  主說，我必從你的子嗣中興起一位先見；我必賜予他<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=zho 能力]，向你的子嗣透露我的話──不僅透露我的話，還要勸他們相信已傳到他們之中的我的話。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> But a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng seer] will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng power] to <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng bring] forth my word unto the seed of thy loins—and not to the bringing forth my word only, saith the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> Wherefore, the fruit of thy loins shall <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng write]; and the fruit of the loins of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng Judah] shall <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng write]; and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together, unto the<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng confounding] of <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng false] doctrines and laying down of contentions, and establishing <sup class='englishSup'>f</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng peace] among the fruit of thy loins, and <sup class='englishSup'>g</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng bringing]them to the <sup class='englishSup'>h</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng knowledge] of their fathers in the latter days, and also to the knowledge of my covenants, saith the Lord.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span>  主說，以色列家族啊，我在我所有的人民中展開事工時，必使他轉弱為強，來復興你們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> And out of weakness he shall be made strong, in that day when my work shall commence among all my people, unto the restoring thee, O house of Israel, saith the Lord.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span>  約瑟這樣預言說：看啊，主必祝福那位先見，凡企圖毀滅他的，必定挫敗；因為我從主得到的關於我子嗣的這項應許，必定實現。看啊，我確知這應許必定實現。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> And thus prophesied Joseph, saying: Behold, that seer will the Lord bless; and they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded; for this promise, which I have obtained of the Lord, of the fruit of my loins, shall be fulfilled. Behold, I am sure of the fulfilling of this promise;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span>  他必<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=zho 與]我同名；也<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=zho 與]他父親同名。他必像我，因為，主藉著他的手要成就的事，必能靠著主的大能，將我的人民帶向救恩。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> And his <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng name] shall be called after me; and it shall be after the<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng name] of his father. And he shall be <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng like] unto me; for the thing, which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand, by the power of the Lord shall bring <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng my] people unto <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng salvation].</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> Yea, thus prophesied Joseph: I am sure of this thing, even as I am sure of the promise of Moses; for the Lord hath said unto me, I will <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng preserve] thy seed forever.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> And the Lord hath said: I will raise up a Moses; and I will give power unto him in a rod; and I will give judgment unto him in writing. Yet I will not loose his tongue, that he shall speak much, for I will not make him mighty in speaking. But I will <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng write] unto him my law, by the finger of mine own hand; and I will make a<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng spokesman] for him.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span>  主還對我說：我必為你的子嗣興起一位先見；我必為他預備一位代言人。而我，看啊，必讓他將你子嗣所寫的事寫給你的子嗣；你子嗣的代言人必宣告這事。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> And the Lord said unto me also: I will raise up unto the fruit of thy loins; and I will make for him a spokesman. And I, behold, I will give unto him that he shall write the writing of the fruit of thy loins, unto the fruit of thy loins; and the spokesman of thy loins shall declare it.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span>  他要寫的話，是按照我的智慧，認為應當傳達給你<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=zho 子嗣]的話。這些話猶如你的子嗣<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=zho 從]塵埃中向他們呼喊；因為我知道他們的信心。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> And the words which he shall write shall be the words which are expedient in my wisdom should go forth unto the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng fruit] of thy loins. And it shall be as if the fruit of thy loins had cried unto them<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng from] the dust; for I know their faith.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> Because of their faith their <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng words] shall proceed forth out of my mouth unto their brethren who are the fruit of thy loins; and the weakness of their words will I make strong in their faith, unto the remembering of my covenant which I made unto thy fathers.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span>  現在看啊，我兒約瑟，我的古代祖先就是這樣<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=zho 預言]的。</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>23</span>  所以，你已因這聖約而蒙福；因為你的後裔必不會被毀滅，因為他們必聽從書中的話。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>23</span> Wherefore, because of this covenant thou art <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng blessed]; for thy seed shall not be destroyed, for they shall <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng hearken] unto the words of the book.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>24</span>  他們之中，將興起一位強者，他所言所行多使人獲益，他是神手中的工具，有極大的信心，行大奇事，做神眼中偉大的事工，以促成以色列家族和你們兄弟後裔的許多復興。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> And there shall rise up <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng one] mighty among them, who shall do much good, both in word and in deed, being an instrument in the hands of God, with exceeding faith, to work mighty wonders, and do that thing which is great in the sight of God, unto the bringing to pass much <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/3?lang=eng restoration] unto the house of Israel, and unto the seed of thy brethren.</p>
