<p class='english'>Mosiah forbids persecution and enjoins equality—Alma the younger and the four sons of Mosiah seek to destroy the Church—An angel appears and commands them to cease their evil course—Alma is struck dumb—All mankind must be born again to gain salvation—Alma and the sons of Mosiah declare glad tidings. About 100–92 B.C.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> And now it came to pass that the persecutions which were inflicted on the church by the unbelievers became so great that the church began to murmur, and complain to their leaders concerning the matter; and they did complain to Alma. And Alma laid the case before their king, Mosiah. And Mosiah <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng consulted] with his priests.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span>  境內又開始極為和平；人民開始繁衍，遍佈地面上，是的，遍佈北邊和南邊，東邊和西邊，並在各地興建大城和村落。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> And there began to be much peace again in the land; and the people began to be very numerous, and began to scatter abroad upon the face of the earth, yea, on the north and on the south, on the east and on the west, building large cities and villages in all quarters of the land.</p>

And he was a man of many words, and did speak much <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng flattery] to the people; therefore he <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng led] many of the people to do after the manner of his<sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng iniquities].</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> And he became a great hinderment to the prosperity of the church of God; <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng stealing] away the hearts of the people; causing much dissension among the people; giving a chance for the enemy of God to exercise his <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng power] over them.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> And as I said unto you, as they were going about <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng rebelling]against God, behold, the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng angel] of the Lord <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng appeared] unto them; and he descended as it were in a <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng cloud]; and he spake as it were with a voice of thunder, which caused the earth to shake upon which they stood;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span>  他們驚駭萬分，倒在地上，聽不懂他對他們說的話。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> And so great was their astonishment, that they fell to the earth, and understood not the words which he spake unto them.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> And again, the angel said: Behold, the Lord hath <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng heard] the prayers of his people, and also the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng prayers] of his servant, Alma, who is thy father; for he has <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng prayed] with much faith concerning thee that thou mightest be brought to the <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng knowledge] of the truth; therefore, for this purpose have I come to <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng convince] thee of the power and authority of God, that the <sup class='englishSup'>f</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng prayers] of his servants might be answered according to their faith.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span>  現在看啊，你能懷疑神的大能嗎？因為看啊，我的聲音不是使大地震動嗎？你不是也看到我就在你面前嗎？我是神差來的。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> And now behold, can ye dispute the power of God? For behold, doth not my voice shake the earth? And can ye not also <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng behold]me before you? And I am sent from God.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span>  我告訴你：去吧，要記住你祖先在希蘭地和尼腓地受奴役的事；要記住祂為他們做了何等偉大的事；以前他們受奴役，祂<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=zho 解救]了他們。現在，我告訴你，阿爾瑪，去吧，即使你願意被拋棄，也不要再企圖破壞教會，好讓他們的祈禱能得到答覆。</p>

And now I say unto thee, Alma, go thy way, and seek to destroy the church no more, that their prayers may be answered, and this even if thou wilt of<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng thyself] be <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng cast] off.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span>  事情是這樣的，這些就是天使最後對阿爾瑪講的話，然後他便離去了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> And now it came to pass that these were the last words which the angel spake unto Alma, and he departed.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> And now Alma and those that were with him fell again to the earth, for great was their astonishment; for with their own eyes they had beheld an <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng angel] of the Lord; and his voice was as thunder, which <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng shook] the earth; and they knew that there was nothing save the power of God that could shake the earth and cause it to tremble as though it would part asunder.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span>  阿爾瑪驚駭萬分，變成啞巴，無法開口；是的，他變得非常虛弱，連雙手都不能動；因此，他無力地被同行的人抬走，直到放在他父親面前。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> And now the astonishment of Alma was so great that he became <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng dumb], that he could not open his mouth; yea, and he became weak, even that he could not move his hands; therefore he was taken by those that were with him, and carried helpless, even until he was laid before his father.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> And they rehearsed unto his father all that had happened unto them; and his father rejoiced, for he knew that it was the power of God.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> And he caused that a multitude should be gathered together that they might witness what the Lord had done for his son, and also for those that were with him.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> And he caused that the priests should assemble themselves together; and they began to fast, and to pray to the Lord their God that he would open the mouth of Alma, that he might speak, and also that his limbs might receive their strength—that the eyes of the people might be opened to see and know of the goodness and glory of God.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>23</span>  事情是這樣的，他們禁食祈禱兩天兩夜後，阿爾瑪的四肢恢復了力氣，他站起來，開始對他們講話，請他們寬心；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>23</span> And it came to pass after they had fasted and prayed for the space of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng two] days and two nights, the limbs of Alma received their strength, and he stood up and began to speak unto them, bidding them to be of good comfort:</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> For, said he, I have repented of my sins, and have been<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng redeemed] of the Lord; behold I am born of the Spirit.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>26</span>  這樣，他們就成了新的人；若不這麼做，他們<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=zho 絕不]能承受神的國度。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>26</span> And thus they become new creatures; and unless they do this, they can in <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng nowise] inherit the kingdom of God.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>27</span> I say unto you, unless this be the case, they must be cast off; and this I know, because I was like to be cast off.</p>

I was in the darkest abyss; but now I behold the marvelous light of God. My soul was <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng racked] with eternal torment; but I am snatched, and my soul is <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng pained] no more.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>30</span>  我曾拒絕我的救贖主，否認我們祖先所說的事；但現在他們都可預見祂會來臨，祂也必記得祂所創造的每一個人，祂必親自向所有的人顯現。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>30</span> I rejected my Redeemer, and denied that which had been spoken of by our fathers; but now that they may foresee that he will come, and that he remembereth every creature of his creating, he will make himself manifest unto <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng all].</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>31</span> Yea, <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng every] knee shall bow, and every tongue confess before him. Yea, even at the last day, when all men shall stand to be<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng judged] of him, then shall they confess that he is <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng God]; then shall they confess, who live <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng without] God in the world, that the judgment of an everlasting punishment is just upon them; and they shall quake, and tremble, and shrink beneath the glance of his<sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng all]-searching eye.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>32</span>  事情是這樣的，阿爾瑪從此開始教導人民，那些在天使顯現時，和阿爾瑪同行的人也如此，他們走遍各地，將所聽到和看到的事告訴所有的人民；他們在重重考驗下傳講神的話，遭受不信者極大的迫害，其中許多人還毆打他們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>32</span> And now it came to pass that Alma began from this time forward to teach the people, and those who were with Alma at the time the angel appeared unto them, traveling round about through all the land, publishing to all the people the things which they had heard and seen, and preaching the word of God in much tribulation, being greatly persecuted by those who were unbelievers, being smitten by many of them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>33</span>  儘管發生這些事，他們還是給了教友很大的安慰，堅定他們的信心，以長久忍耐和勞苦勸勉他們要遵守神的誡命。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>33</span> But notwithstanding all this, they did impart much consolation to the church, confirming their faith, and exhorting them with long-suffering and much travail to keep the commandments of God.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>34</span>  他們之中有四個是<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=zho 摩賽亞]的兒子；他們的名字是艾蒙、亞倫、奧姆納和海姆乃；這就是摩賽亞的兒子的名字。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>34</span> And four of them were the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng sons] of Mosiah; and their names were Ammon, and Aaron, and Omner, and Himni; these were the names of the sons of Mosiah.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>35</span>  他們走遍柴雷罕拉地，到摩賽亞王統治下的人民那裡，全力彌補他們加於教會的傷害，承認他們所有的罪，傳講他們所看到的一切事，向所有願意聽他們講話的人解釋預言和經文。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>35</span> And they traveled throughout all the land of Zarahemla, and among all the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng people] who were under the reign of king Mosiah,<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng zealously] striving to repair all the injuries which they had done to the church, <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng confessing] all their sins, and publishing all the things which they had seen, and explaining the prophecies and the scriptures to all who desired to hear them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>36</span>  他們就這樣成了神手中的工具，帶領許多人認識真理，是的，認識他們的救贖主。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>36</span> And thus they were instruments in the hands of God in bringing many to the knowledge of the truth, yea, to the knowledge of their Redeemer.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>37</span>  他們何等有福啊！因為他們<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=zho 傳]平安，他們傳<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=zho 好]信，他們向人民宣告主作王了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>37</span> And how blessed are they! For they did <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng publish] <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/27?lang=eng peace]; they did publish good tidings of good; and they did declare unto the people that the Lord reigneth.</p>
