<p class='english'>Alma contends with Zeezrom—The mysteries of God can be given only to the faithful—Men are judged by their thoughts, beliefs, words, and works—The wicked will suffer a spiritual death—This mortal life is a probationary state—The plan of redemption brings to pass the Resurrection and, through faith, a remission of sins—The repentant have a claim on mercy through the Only Begotten Son. <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> Now Alma, seeing that the words of Amulek had silenced Zeezrom, for he beheld that Amulek had caught him in his <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng lying]and deceiving to destroy him, and seeing that he began to tremble under a <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng consciousness] of his guilt, he opened his mouth and began to speak unto him, and to establish the words of Amulek, and to explain things beyond, or to unfold the scriptures beyond that which Amulek had done.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span> 當時四周聚集的民眾甚多，他們都聽到阿爾瑪對齊愛治樂講的話，他是這麼說的：</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> Now the words that Alma spake unto Zeezrom were heard by the people round about; for the multitude was great, and he spake on this wise:</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> Now Zeezrom, seeing that thou hast been taken in thy lying and craftiness, for thou hast not lied unto men only but thou hast lied unto God; for behold, he knows all thy <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng thoughts], and thou seest that thy <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng thoughts] are made known unto us by his Spirit;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span> 你知道我們已經曉得你的計謀按照魔鬼的狡猾，是非常狡猾的計謀，要對這人民說謊並欺騙他們，使他們反對我們，辱罵我們，把我們趕出去──</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And thou seest that we know that thy plan was a very <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng subtle]plan, as to the subtlety of the devil, for to lie and to deceive this people that thou mightest set them against us, to <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng revile] us and to cast us out—</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 這是你<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/5a 仇敵]的計謀，他已在你身上運用他的力量。現在我希望你記住，凡是我對你說的，都是對大家說的。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> Now this was a plan of thine <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng adversary], and he hath exercised his power in thee. Now I would that ye should remember that what I say unto thee I say unto all.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 看啊，我告訴你們，這就是那仇敵設下來捕捉這人民的圈套，這樣他好誘使你們臣服於他，好用<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/6a 鎖鏈]纏住你們，憑他束縛人的力量，將你們綁赴永恆的毀滅。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> And behold I say unto you all that this was a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng snare] of the adversary, which he has laid to catch this people, that he might bring you into subjection unto him, that he might encircle you about with his <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng chains], that he might chain you down to everlasting destruction, according to the power of his captivity.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 阿爾瑪講完這番話，齊愛治樂就顫抖得更厲害了，他越來越信服神的大能，同時他也相信阿爾瑪和艾繆萊克能看透他，因為他相信他們知道他心中的思想意念；因為他們已獲賜力量，能憑預言之靈知道這些事。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> Now when Alma had spoken these words, Zeezrom began to tremble more exceedingly, for he was convinced more and more of the power of God; and he was also convinced that Alma and Amulek had a knowledge of him, for he was convinced that they<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng knew] the thoughts and intents of his heart; for power was given unto them that they might know of these things according to the spirit of prophecy.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 齊愛治樂開始努力詢問他們，想多了解神國的事。他對阿爾瑪說：艾繆萊克講到死人的復活，他說所有的人，正義的和不正義的，都要從死裡復活，並被帶到神的面前，按自己的行為接受審判，這是什麼意思呢？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> And Zeezrom began to inquire of them diligently, that he might know more concerning the kingdom of God. And he said unto Alma: What does this mean which Amulek hath spoken concerning the resurrection of the dead, that all shall rise from the dead, both the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng just] and the unjust, and are brought to stand before God to be <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng judged] according to their works?</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> And now Alma began to expound these things unto him, saying: It is given unto many to <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng know] the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng mysteries] of God; nevertheless they are laid under a strict command that they shall not impart <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng only] according to the portion of his word which he doth grant unto the children of men, according to the heed and diligence which they give unto him.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 因此，<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/10a 硬]起心來的人得到<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/10b 較小]部分的話；<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/10c 不]硬起心來的人就<sup class='chineseSup'>ｄ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/10d 蒙]賜較大部分的話，直到他獲知神的奧祕，直到完全明白為止。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And therefore, he that will <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng harden] his heart, the same receiveth the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng lesser] portion of the word; and he that will <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng not]harden his heart, to him is <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng given] the greater portion of the word, until it is given unto him to know the mysteries of God until he know them in full.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 硬起心來的人只得到較小<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/11a 部分]的話，直到他們對祂的奧祕<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/11b 一無所知]；然後他們就被魔鬼俘虜，任魔鬼的意思牽引，走向滅亡。這就是<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/11c 地獄]<sup class='chineseSup'>ｄ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/11d 鎖鏈]的意思。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> And they that will harden their hearts, to them is given the lesser <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng portion] of the word until they <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng know] nothing concerning his mysteries; and then they are taken captive by the devil, and led by his will down to destruction. Now this is what is meant by the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng chains] of <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng hell].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 有關<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/12a 死亡]，從必死復活到不死的狀態，以及被帶到神的審判欄前，按我們的行為接受<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/12b 審判]的情形，艾繆萊克已經講得很明白了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> And Amulek hath spoken plainly concerning <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng death], and being raised from this mortality to a state of immortality, and being brought before the bar of God, to be <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng judged] according to our works.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 那時如果我們的心已硬，是的，如果我們硬起心來反對神的話語，使得我們心中沒有神的話語，那麼我們的景況就可怕了，因為到時候我們必被定罪。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> Then if our hearts have been hardened, yea, if we have hardened our hearts against the word, insomuch that it has not been found in us, then will our state be awful, for then we shall be condemned.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> 因為我們的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/14a 言語]會定我們的罪，是的，我們一切的行為會定我們的罪，我們必不被判為潔淨無瑕；而我們的思想也會定我們的罪；在這樣可怕的景況中，我們必不敢仰望我們的神；那時我們若能叫巖石和<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/14b 山]嶽倒在身上，好<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/14c 躲起]來不見祂的面，我們一定會非常高興。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> For our <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng words] will condemn us, yea, all our works will condemn us; we shall not be found spotless; and our thoughts will also condemn us; and in this awful state we shall not dare to look up to our God; and we would fain be glad if we could command the rocks and the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng mountains] to fall upon us to <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng hide]us from his presence.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 但這是不可能的；我們必須走出來，在祂的榮耀中，在祂的大能中，在祂的力量、威嚴、統治中站在祂面前，在無限的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/15a 羞恥]中，承認祂一切<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/15b 審判]都公正，一切作為都公正，承認祂對人類兒女慈悲，有一切的大能可以拯救每一個相信祂的名並結出與悔改相稱的果子的人。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> But this cannot be; we must come forth and stand before him in his glory, and in his power, and in his might, majesty, and dominion, and acknowledge to our everlasting <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng shame] that all his<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng judgments] are just; that he is just in all his works, and that he is merciful unto the children of men, and that he has all power to save every man that believeth on his name and bringeth forth fruit meet for repentance.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span> 現在看啊，我告訴你們，然後有一種死亡來到，就是第二次<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/16a 死亡]，也就是屬靈的死亡；那時死於自己罪惡中的人，像死於屬世的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/16b 死亡]一樣，也必<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/16c 死於]屬靈的死亡；是的，就和正義有關的事來說，他必定死亡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> And now behold, I say unto you then cometh a death, even a second <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng death], which is a spiritual death; then is a time that whosoever dieth in his sins, as to a temporal <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng death], shall also<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng die] a spiritual death; yea, he shall die as to things pertaining unto righteousness.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span> 到時候，他們的痛苦必如火燄永永遠遠上騰的硫磺<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/17a 火]湖；到時候，他們必因撒但的力量與束縛，被綁赴永恆的毀滅，因為撒但已按照自己的意思征服了他們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> Then is the time when their torments shall be as a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng lake] of fire and brimstone, whose flame ascendeth up forever and ever; and then is the time that they shall be chained down to an everlasting destruction, according to the power and captivity of Satan, he having subjected them according to his will.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span> 我告訴你們，那時他們的景況必如同<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/18a 沒有]救贖一樣；因為按照神的公道，他們無法獲得救贖；他們不會<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/18b 死]，因為那時不再有腐朽。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> Then, I say unto you, they shall be as though there had been<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng no] redemption made; for they cannot be redeemed according to God’s justice; and they cannot <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng die], seeing there is no more corruption.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span> 事情是這樣的，阿爾瑪講完這些話，人民開始更加震驚；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> Now it came to pass that when Alma had made an end of speaking these words, the people began to be more astonished;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>20</span> 但是有一個叫安鐵奧那的人，是他們的首領，走出來對他說：你說人要從死裡復活，由這必死的狀態變成<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/20a 不]死的狀態，而靈魂永不死亡，是什麼意思呢？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> But there was one Antionah, who was a chief ruler among them, came forth and said unto him: What is this that thou hast said, that man should rise from the dead and be changed from this mortal to an <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng immortal] state, that the soul can never die?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span> 經文上說，神在<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/21a 伊甸]園東邊安置了<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/21b 基路伯]和發火燄的劍，免得我們第一對祖先進去吃生命樹上的果子，而永遠活著，是什麼意思呢？由此可知，他們不可能有機會永遠活著。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> What does the scripture mean, which saith that God placed<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng cherubim] and a flaming sword on the east of the garden of<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng Eden], lest our first parents should enter and partake of the fruit of the tree of life, and live forever? And thus we see that there was no possible chance that they should live forever.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span> 阿爾瑪告訴他：這正是我要解釋的。我們知道亞當正如神所說的那樣，吃了<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/22a 禁果]而<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/22b 墜落]；由此可知，由於他的墜落，全人類成了一群<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/22c 迷失]而墜落的人民。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> Now Alma said unto him: This is the thing which I was about to explain. Now we see that Adam did <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng fall] by the partaking of the forbidden <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng fruit], according to the word of God; and thus we see, that by his fall, all mankind became a <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng lost] and fallen people.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>23</span> 現在看啊，我告訴你們，如果那時亞當有機會<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/23a 吃]生命樹上的果子，就不會有死亡，神的話成了空話，神也就成了說謊者，因為祂說：<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/23b 你]吃了就必定會死。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>23</span> And now behold, I say unto you that if it had been possible for Adam to have <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng partaken] of the fruit of the tree of life at that time, there would have been no death, and the word would have been void, making God a liar, for he said: <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng If] thou eat thou shalt surely die.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>24</span> 我們知道<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/24a 死亡]臨到人類，是的，那死亡就是艾繆萊克所說的死亡，就是屬世的死亡；然而有一段時間賜給了<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/24b 人]，讓他悔改；因此今生就成了受驗證的階段，是<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/24c 準備]迎見神的時期，也是為我們所講的無盡的階段作準備的時期；那階段在死人復活之後。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> And we see that <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng death] comes upon mankind, yea, the death which has been spoken of by Amulek, which is the temporal death; nevertheless there was a space granted unto <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng man] in which he might repent; therefore this life became a <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng probationary]state; a time to <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng prepare] to meet God; a time to prepare for that endless state which has been spoken of by us, which is after the resurrection of the dead.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>25</span> 若不是從世界奠基時就擬定好的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/25a 救贖]計畫，就不可能有死人的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/25b 復活]；但是，那救贖的計畫已擬定好了，那計畫必促成我們說過的死人的復活。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>25</span> Now, if it had not been for the plan of redemption, which was laid from the foundation of the world, there could have been no<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng resurrection] of the dead; but there was a plan of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng redemption]laid, which shall bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, of which has been spoken.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>26</span> 現在看啊，如果我們第一對祖先有機會吃<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/26a 生命樹]的果子，他們會永遠悲慘，因為沒有準備的階段；那麼<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/26b 救贖]的計畫必遭破壞，而神的話也成了空話，沒有功效了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>26</span> And now behold, if it were possible that our first parents could have gone forth and partaken of the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng tree] of life they would have been forever miserable, having no preparatory state; and thus the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng plan] of redemption would have been frustrated, and the word of God would have been void, taking none effect.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>27</span> 但是看啊，情形並非如此；世人已被<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/27a 指定]必須要死；死後必須接受<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/27b 審判]，就是我們說過的審判，那就是終結。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>27</span> But behold, it was not so; but it was <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng appointed] unto men that they must die; and after death, they must come to <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng judgment], even that same judgment of which we have spoken, which is the end.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>28</span> 神指定這些事一定要臨到世人後，看啊，祂深知世人必須知道祂指定給他們的事。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>28</span> And after God had appointed that these things should come unto man, behold, then he saw that it was expedient that man should know concerning the things whereof he had appointed unto them;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>29</span> 因此，祂派遣<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/29a 眾]天使與他們交談，讓世人看到祂的榮耀。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>29</span> Therefore he sent <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng angels] to converse with them, who caused men to behold of his glory.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>30</span> 他們從那時起開始呼求祂的名，神就與世人<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/30a 交談]，讓他們知道從<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/30b 世界]奠基時就已預備好的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/30c 救贖]計畫；祂按照他們的信心、悔改和聖潔的行為，讓他們知道這計畫。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>30</span> And they began from that time forth to call on his name; therefore God <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng conversed] with men, and made known unto them the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng plan] of redemption, which had been prepared from the<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng foundation] of the world; and this he made known unto them according to their faith and repentance and their <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng holy] works.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>31</span> 因此祂將<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/31a 誡命]賜給世人，他們先違反了<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/31b 最早]賜給他們的有關屬世事務的誡命，變成像眾神一樣，能<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/31c 分辨]善惡，使自己處在<sup class='chineseSup'>ｄ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/31d 自主]的狀態，或者說被置於自主的狀態中，隨自己的意志和願望做好或做壞──</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>31</span> Wherefore, he gave <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng commandments] unto men, they having first transgressed the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng first] commandments as to things which were temporal, and becoming as gods, <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng knowing] good from evil, placing themselves in a state to <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng act], or being placed in a state to act according to their wills and pleasures, whether to do evil or to do good—</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>32</span> 因此神讓他們<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/32a 知道]救贖計畫後，就賜給他們誡命，希望他們不要作惡，作惡的懲罰是第二次<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/32b 死亡]，也就是在和正義有關的事情上永遠死亡；救贖計畫對於這種人無能為力，因為按照神的至善，<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/32c 公道]的事工不容破壞。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>32</span> Therefore God gave unto them commandments, after having made <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng known] unto them the plan of redemption, that they should not do evil, the penalty thereof being a second <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng death], which was an everlasting <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng death] as to things pertaining unto righteousness; for on such the plan of redemption could have no power, for the works of <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng justice] could not be destroyed, according to the supreme <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng goodness] of God.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>33</span> 但是神確實以祂兒子的名呼喚世人（這就是擬定好的救贖計畫）說：如果你們悔改，不硬起心來，我必經由我的獨生子，憐憫你們；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>33</span> But God did call on men, in the name of his Son, (this being the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng plan] of redemption which was laid) saying: If ye will <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng repent], and harden not your hearts, then will I have mercy upon you, through mine Only Begotten Son;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>34</span> 因此，凡悔改、不硬起心來的人，能經由我的獨生子要求<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/34a 慈悲]，而獲得<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/34b 罪]的赦免；這些人必進入我的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/34c 安息]。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>34</span> Therefore, whosoever repenteth, and hardeneth not his heart, he shall have claim on <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng mercy] through mine Only Begotten Son, unto a <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng remission] of his sins; and these shall enter into my <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng rest].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>35</span> 凡硬起心來為非作惡的人，看啊，我在憤怒中誓言，這人絕不能進入我的安息。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>35</span> And whosoever will harden his heart and will do <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng iniquity], behold, I swear in my wrath that he shall not enter into my rest.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>36</span> 弟兄們，看啊，我告訴你們，如果你們硬起心來，你們絕不能進入主的安息；因此你們的罪惡激怒祂，祂必像<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/36a 第]一次被激怒那樣，對你們發怒，是的，按照祂在最後一次被激怒時所說的話，如同第一次所說的一樣，使你們的靈魂永遠<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/36b 滅亡]；因此按照祂的話，祂會使你們像遭受第一次死亡那樣，遭受最後一次死亡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>36</span> And now, my brethren, behold I say unto you, that if ye will harden your hearts ye shall not enter into the rest of the Lord; therefore your iniquity <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng provoketh] him that he sendeth down his<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng wrath] upon you as in the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng first] provocation, yea, according to his word in the last provocation as well as the first, to the everlasting<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng destruction] of your souls; therefore, according to his word, unto the last death, as well as the first.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>37</span> 弟兄們，既然我們知道這些事，而這些事是真實的，那麼讓我們悔改吧，不要硬起心來，不要在主我們的神第二次賜給我們的誡命上<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/37a 激怒]祂，使祂對我們發怒；讓我們進入那按照祂的話而準備好的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/12/37b 神]的安息吧。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>37</span> And now, my brethren, seeing we know these things, and they are true, let us repent, and harden not our hearts, that we<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng provoke] not the Lord our God to pull down his wrath upon us in these his second commandments which he has given unto us; but let us enter into the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/12?lang=eng rest] of God, which is prepared according to his word.</p>
