<p class='english'>Lamoni receives the light of everlasting life and sees the Redeemer—His household falls into a trance, and many see angels—Ammon is preserved miraculously—He baptizes many and establishes a church among them. About 90 B.C.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span> 事情是這樣的，兩天兩夜後，他們打算將他的身體抬到墳墓裡，即他們用來埋葬死者的墳墓裡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> And it came to pass that after two days and two nights they were about to take his <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng body] and lay it in a sepulchre, which they had made for the purpose of burying their dead.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span> 王后聽說艾蒙的名聲，便差人去請他來見她。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> Now the queen having heard of the fame of Ammon, therefore she sent and desired that he should come in unto her.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span> 事情是這樣的，艾蒙奉命來見王后，想知道王后要他做什麼。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> And it came to pass that Ammon did as he was commanded, and went in unto the queen, and desired to know what she would that he should do.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And she said unto him: The <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng servants] of my husband have made it known unto me that thou art a <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng prophet] of a holy God, and that thou hast <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng power] to do many mighty works in his name;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 所以，如果真是這樣，我希望你進去看我丈夫，他已經在床上躺了兩天兩夜；有人說他沒有死，但是有人說他死了，而且已經發臭了，應當把他放在墳墓裡；但是對我來說，我覺得他並沒有發臭。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> Therefore, if this is the case, I would that ye should go in and see my husband, for he has been laid upon his bed for the space of two days and two nights; and some say that he is not dead, but others say that he is dead and that he <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng stinketh], and that he ought to be placed in the sepulchre; but as for myself, to me he doth not stink.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> Now, this was what Ammon desired, for he knew that king Lamoni was under the power of God; he knew that the dark <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng veil]of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng unbelief] was being cast away from his mind, and the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng light]which did light up his mind, which was the light of the glory of God, which was a marvelous light of his goodness—yea, this light had infused such joy into his soul, the cloud of darkness having been dispelled, and that the light of everlasting life was lit up in his soul, yea, he knew that this had <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng overcome] his natural frame, and he was carried away in God—</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 所以，王后的要求正是他唯一的心願。因此，他依王后的意思，進去看國王；他看了國王，知道他並沒有死。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> Therefore, what the queen desired of him was his only desire. Therefore, he went in to see the king according as the queen had desired him; and he saw the king, and he knew that he was not dead.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 他對王后說：他沒有死，只是在神裡面睡著了，明天就會再起來；所以不要把他埋葬了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> And he said unto the queen: He is not dead, but he sleepeth in God, and on the morrow he shall rise again; therefore bury him not.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span> 艾蒙對她說：你相信嗎？她對他說：除了你所說的話和我們的僕人所說的話以外，我沒有別的證據，不過我相信事情一定像你說的那樣。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> And Ammon said unto her: <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng Believest] thou this? And she said unto him: I have had no witness save thy word, and the word of our servants; nevertheless I <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng believe] that it shall be according as thou hast said.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 艾蒙對她說：有這樣大的信心，你有福了；婦人，我告訴你，整個尼腓民族還不曾有過這麼大的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/10a 信心]。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And Ammon said unto her: Blessed art thou because of thy exceeding faith; I say unto thee, woman, there has not been such great faith among all the people of the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng Nephites].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 事情是這樣的，從那時起，她就守在丈夫的床邊，直到艾蒙指定他會在第二天起來的時辰。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> And it came to pass that she watched over the bed of her husband, from that time even until that time on the morrow which Ammon had appointed that he should rise.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 事情是這樣的，如艾蒙所言，他起來了；他起來時，伸手向婦人說：神的名是應當稱頌的，你有福了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> And it came to pass that he arose, according to the words of Ammon; and as he arose, he stretched forth his hand unto the woman, and said: Blessed be the name of God, and blessed art thou.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> For as sure as thou livest, behold, I have <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng seen] my Redeemer; and he shall come forth, and be <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng born] of a <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng woman], and he shall redeem all mankind who believe on his name. Now, when he had said these words, his heart was swollen within him, and he sunk again with joy; and the queen also sunk down, being overpowered by the Spirit.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> Now Ammon seeing the Spirit of the Lord poured out according to his <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng prayers] upon the Lamanites, his brethren, who had been the cause of so much mourning among the Nephites, or among all the people of God because of their iniquities and their<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng traditions], he fell upon his knees, and began to pour out his soul in prayer and thanksgiving to God for what he had done for his brethren; and he was also overpowered with <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng joy]; and thus they all three had <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng sunk] to the earth.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 國王的僕人看到他們都倒下去，也開始呼求神，因為對主的敬畏也臨到他們，在國王面前為艾蒙極大的力量作證的，就是<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/15a 他們]。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> Now, when the servants of the king had seen that they had fallen, they also began to cry unto God, for the fear of the Lord had come upon them also, for it was <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng they] who had stood before the king and testified unto him concerning the great power of Ammon.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span> 事情是這樣的，他們極力呼求主的名，結果除了一位叫艾別絲的拉曼婦人以外，其他人都倒在地上；艾別絲因她父親一次不尋常的異象而歸信主多年了──</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> And it came to pass that they did call on the name of the Lord, in their might, even until they had all fallen to the earth, save it were one of the Lamanitish <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng women], whose name was Abish, she having been converted unto the Lord for many years, on account of a remarkable vision of her father—</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span> 她歸信了主，卻從來沒有讓人知道；因此她看到拉摩那的僕人都倒在地上，又看到她的女主人王后和國王，以及艾蒙也都臥倒在地上，便知道那是神的大能，並且認為這是一個機會，讓人民知道發生在他們身上的事，看到這景象會<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/17a 使]他們相信神的大能，於是她挨家挨戶奔走，告訴民眾。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> Thus, having been converted to the Lord, and never having made it <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng known], therefore, when she saw that all the servants of Lamoni had <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng fallen] to the earth, and also her mistress, the queen, and the king, and Ammon lay <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng prostrate] upon the earth, she knew that it was the power of God; and supposing that this opportunity, by making known unto the people what had happened among them, that by beholding this scene it would<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng cause] them to believe in the power of God, therefore she ran forth from house to house, making it known unto the people.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span> 民眾開始向國王的住處聚集。結果來了一大群人，他們看到國王、王后以及他們的僕人臥倒在地，躺在那裡就像死了一樣，甚是驚訝；他們也看到艾蒙，看啊，他是個尼腓人。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> And they began to assemble themselves together unto the house of the king. And there came a multitude, and to their astonishment, they beheld the king, and the queen, and their servants prostrate upon the earth, and they all lay there as though they were dead; and they also saw Ammon, and behold, he was a Nephite.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span> 人民開始議論紛紛；有人說大禍臨到他們，臨到國王和他的家人，因為他讓尼腓人<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/19a 留]在境內。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> And now the people began to murmur among themselves; some saying that it was a great evil that had come upon them, or upon the king and his house, because he had suffered that the Nephite should <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng remain] in the land.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>20</span> 但是其他人則斥責他們說：國王為全家招來這大禍，是因為他殺了在<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/20a 西巴士]水邊放羊，而羊群被驅散的僕人。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> But others rebuked them, saying: The king hath brought this evil upon his house, because he slew his servants who had had their flocks scattered at the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng waters] of Sebus.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span> 他們也被站在西巴士水邊<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/21a 驅散]國王羊群的人斥責，因為他們惱怒艾蒙保護國王的羊群時，在西巴士水邊殺了他們許多弟兄。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> And they were also rebuked by those men who had stood at the waters of Sebus and <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng scattered] the flocks which belonged to the king, for they were angry with Ammon because of the number which he had slain of their brethren at the waters of Sebus, while defending the flocks of the king.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span> 其中有一人的哥哥被艾蒙用劍<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/22a 殺死]，他非常惱怒艾蒙，拔劍要攻擊他，把他殺了；就在他舉劍要殺艾蒙時，看啊，他卻倒下死了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> Now, one of them, whose brother had been <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng slain] with the sword of Ammon, being exceedingly angry with Ammon, drew his sword and went forth that he might let it fall upon Ammon, to slay him; and as he lifted the sword to smite him, behold, he fell dead.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>23</span> 我們知道艾蒙是不會被殺的，因為<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/23a 主]對他父親摩賽亞說過：我必救他的命，按照你的信心救他的命──所以摩賽亞把他<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/23b 交]託給主。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>23</span> Now we see that Ammon could not be slain, for the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng Lord] had said unto Mosiah, his father: I will spare him, and it shall be unto him according to thy faith—therefore, Mosiah <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng trusted] him unto the Lord.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>24</span> 事情是這樣的，群眾看到那個舉劍要殺艾蒙的人已經倒下死了，個個都心生恐懼，不敢伸手碰他或那些倒下去的人，他們又驚異起來，不知哪來這極大的力量，也不知道這些事有什麼意義。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> And it came to pass that when the multitude beheld that the man had fallen dead, who lifted the sword to slay Ammon, <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng fear]came upon them all, and they durst not put forth their hands to touch him or any of those who had fallen; and they began to marvel again among themselves what could be the cause of this great power, or what all these things could mean.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>25</span> 事情是這樣的，他們很多人說艾蒙就是那位<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/25a 偉大]的靈，其他的人則說他是那偉大的靈派來的；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>25</span> And it came to pass that there were many among them who said that Ammon was the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng Great Spirit], and others said he was sent by the Great Spirit;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>26</span> 但是，另外有人斥責他們，說他是怪物，是尼腓人派來折磨他們的。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>26</span> But others rebuked them all, saying that he was a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng monster], who had been sent from the Nephites to torment them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>27</span> 有些人說，艾蒙是那位偉大的靈鑒於他們的罪行而派來讓他們受苦的；又說，就是這偉大的靈一直跟尼腓人在一起，救尼腓人脫離他們的手；他們還說，就是這偉大的靈毀滅了他們許多拉曼弟兄。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>27</span> And there were some who said that Ammon was sent by the Great Spirit to afflict them because of their iniquities; and that it was the Great Spirit that had always attended the Nephites, who had ever delivered them out of their hands; and they said that it was this Great Spirit who had destroyed so many of their brethren, the Lamanites.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>28</span> 他們的紛爭愈來愈尖銳。就在他們爭論不休的時候，那位通知群眾聚集的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/28a 女]僕來了。她看到群眾之間的紛爭，憂傷得落淚。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>28</span> And thus the contention began to be exceedingly sharp among them. And while they were thus contending, the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng woman]servant who had caused the multitude to be gathered together came, and when she saw the contention which was among the multitude she was exceedingly sorrowful, even unto tears.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>29</span> 事情是這樣的，她上前拉住王后的手，希望或許能把她從地上拉起來；她一碰她的手，她就起身，站了起來，大聲喊著說：讚美耶穌，祂救我脫離<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/29a 可怕]的地獄！讚美神，求您<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/29b 憐憫]這人民！</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>29</span> And it came to pass that she went and took the queen by the<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng hand], that perhaps she might raise her from the ground; and as soon as she touched her hand she arose and stood upon her feet, and cried with a loud voice, saying: O blessed Jesus, who has saved me from an <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng awful] hell! O blessed God, have <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng mercy] on this people!</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>30</span> 她說了這話，便緊握雙手，充滿快樂，說了許多聽不懂的話；這樣做了以後，她拉國王拉摩那的手，看啊，他也起身，站了起來。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>30</span> And when she had said this, she clasped her hands, being filled with joy, speaking many words which were not understood; and when she had done this, she took the king, Lamoni, by the hand, and behold he arose and stood upon his feet.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>31</span> 他看到人民之中的紛爭，就馬上開始斥責他們，把他從艾蒙口中聽來的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/31a 話]教導他們；凡聽了他的話就相信的人，都歸信了主。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>31</span> And he, immediately, seeing the contention among his people, went forth and began to rebuke them, and to teach them the<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng words] which he had heard from the mouth of Ammon; and as many as heard his words believed, and were converted unto the Lord.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>32</span> 但是其中也有很多人不願聽他的話；於是他們各走各的路。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>32</span> But there were <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng many] among them who would not hear his words; therefore they went their way.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>33</span> 事情是這樣的，艾蒙起來後也幫助他們，拉摩那的僕人也都如此；他們向人民宣講同樣的事，也就是他們的心<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/33a 改變]了，不再有作<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/33b 惡]的念頭。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>33</span> And it came to pass that when Ammon arose he also administered unto them, and also did all the servants of Lamoni; and they did all declare unto the people the selfsame thing—that their hearts had been <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng changed]; that they had no more desire to do <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/19?lang=eng evil].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>34</span> 看啊，很多人向人民宣布他們看過<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/19/34a 天使]，和天使交談過；天使告訴他們有關神及其公義之事。</p>
