<p class='english'>The Lord commands Ammon to lead the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi to safety—Upon meeting Alma, Ammon’s joy exhausts his strength—The Nephites give the Anti-Nephi-Lehies the land of Jershon—They are called the people of Ammon. About 90–77 B.C.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span> 事情是這樣的，那些和尼腓人作戰的拉曼人作了多次努力要毀滅他們後，卻發覺企圖毀滅他們終歸徒勞，於是重返尼腓地。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> Now it came to pass that when those Lamanites who had gone to war against the Nephites had found, after their <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng many]struggles to destroy them, that it was in vain to seek their destruction, they returned again to the land of Nephi.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> And it came to pass that the Amalekites, because of their loss, were exceedingly angry. And when they saw that they could not seek revenge from the Nephites, they began to <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng stir] up the people in anger against their <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng brethren], the people of <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng Anti]-Nephi-Lehi; therefore they began again to destroy them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span> 這人民<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/27/3a 依然]不肯拿起武器，寧可任由敵人殺戮。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> Now this people <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng again] refused to take their arms, and they suffered themselves to be slain according to the desires of their enemies.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> Now when Ammon and his brethren saw this work of destruction among those whom they so dearly beloved, and among those who had so dearly beloved them—for they were treated as though they were angels sent from God to save them from everlasting destruction—therefore, when Ammon and his brethren saw this great work of destruction, they were moved with compassion, and they <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng said] unto the king:</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 我們集合主的人民，下到柴雷罕拉地，到我們的弟兄尼腓人那裡，逃出敵人的手，免得我們被毀滅。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> Let us gather together this people of the Lord, and let us go down to the land of Zarahemla to our brethren the Nephites, and flee out of the hands of our enemies, that we be not destroyed.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 但是國王對他們說：看啊，尼腓人會毀滅我們的，因為我們曾多次謀殺他們，犯罪傷害他們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> But the king said unto them: Behold, the Nephites will destroy us, because of the many murders and sins we have committed against them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 艾蒙說：我去求問主，如果主對我們說，下到我們的弟兄那裡去，你們願意去嗎？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> And Ammon said: I will go and inquire of the Lord, and if he say unto us, go down unto our brethren, will ye go?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 國王對他說：願意，如果主對我們說去，我們就下到我們的弟兄那裡去，我們願意當他們的奴隸，直到我們補償了我們對他們犯下的許多謀殺與罪行。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> And the king said unto him: Yea, if the Lord saith unto us go, we will go down unto our brethren, and we will be their slaves until we repair unto them the many murders and sins which we have committed against them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span> 但是艾蒙對他說：那違反我們弟兄的法律，那法律是我父親制定的，其中規定他們當中不得有任何<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/27/9a 奴隸]；所以我們還是去吧，讓我們依靠弟兄們的憐憫。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> But Ammon said unto him: It is against the law of our brethren, which was established by my father, that there should be any <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng slaves] among them; therefore let us go down and rely upon the mercies of our brethren.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 但是國王對他說：去求問主，如果祂說我們去，我們就去；否則我們就死在此地。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> But the king said unto him: Inquire of the Lord, and if he saith unto us go, we will go; otherwise we will perish in the land.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 事情是這樣的，艾蒙就去求問主，主對他說：</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> And it came to pass that Ammon went and inquired of the Lord, and the Lord said unto him:</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 這人民要離開此地，免得他們滅亡；因為撒但緊緊抓住了亞瑪力人的心，他們煽動拉曼人惱怒他們的弟兄，要殺害他們；所以你們要離開這裡；這人民中的這一代有福了，因為我必保護他們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> Get this people <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng out] of this land, that they perish not; for Satan has great hold on the hearts of the Amalekites, who do stir up the Lamanites to anger against their brethren to slay them; therefore get thee out of this land; and blessed are this people in this generation, for I will <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng preserve] them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 事情是這樣的，艾蒙把主對他說的話都告訴了國王。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> And now it came to pass that Ammon went and told the king all the words which the Lord had said unto him.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> 他們集合了全體人民，是的，所有主的人民，也聚集了所有的牲口，離開那地，進入分隔尼腓地和柴雷罕拉地的曠野，來到邊境附近。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> And they gathered together all their people, yea, all the people of the Lord, and did gather together all their flocks and herds, and departed out of the land, and came into the wilderness which divided the land of Nephi from the land of Zarahemla, and came over near the borders of the land.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 事情是這樣的，艾蒙對他們說：看啊，我和我的弟兄要進柴雷罕拉地，你們留在這裡直到我們回來；我們去探探我們弟兄的心，看他們是否願意讓你們進入他們的土地。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> And it came to pass that Ammon said unto them: Behold, I and my brethren will go forth into the land of Zarahemla, and ye shall remain here until we return; and we will <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng try] the hearts of our brethren, whether they will that ye shall come into their land.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> Now the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng joy] of Ammon was so great even that he was full; yea, he was swallowed up in the joy of his God, even to the<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng exhausting] of his strength; and he fell <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng again] to the earth.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span> 這豈不是無比的快樂？看啊，除了真正悔改的人和謙卑追求幸福的人外，沒有人能得到這種快樂。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> Now was not this <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng exceeding] joy? Behold, this is joy which none receiveth save it be the truly penitent and humble seeker of<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng happiness].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span> 阿爾瑪與弟兄們相逢，確實非常快樂，亞倫、奧姆納和海姆乃也非常快樂，但是看啊，他們的快樂並未超過體力的負荷。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> Now the joy of Alma in meeting his <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng brethren] was truly great, and also the joy of Aaron, of Omner, and Himni; but behold their joy was not that to exceed their strength.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>20</span> 事情是這樣的，阿爾瑪領著弟兄們回到柴雷罕拉地，回到他家裡。他們把在尼腓地他們弟兄拉曼人那裡所經歷的一切事情，都告訴了<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/27/20a 首席]法官。</p>

And they went and told the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng chief] judge all the things that had happened unto them in the land of Nephi, among their brethren, the Lamanites.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span> 事情是這樣的，首席法官向全地發布公告，就他們的弟兄安太尼腓李海人入境一事，徵詢民意。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> And it came to pass that the chief judge sent a proclamation throughout all the land, desiring the voice of the people concerning the admitting their brethren, who were the people of<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng Anti]-Nephi-Lehi.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span> 事情是這樣的，民意來到說：看啊，我們願將滿地富以南、東部沿著海、毗連著滿地富的裘勛地讓出來；我們願意把裘勛這塊地給我們的弟兄作為產業。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> And it came to pass that the voice of the people came, saying: Behold, we will give up the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng land] of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng Jershon], which is on the east by the sea, which joins the land Bountiful, which is on the south of the land Bountiful; and this land Jershon is the land which we will give unto our brethren for an inheritance.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>23</span> 看啊，我們要在裘勛地與尼腓地之間駐軍，保護我們在裘勛地的弟兄；我們這麼做，是因為他們害怕拿起武器攻擊他們的弟兄而犯罪；他們之所以這麼恐懼，是因為他們痛悔所犯的許多謀殺和可怕的罪行。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>23</span> And behold, we will set our armies between the land Jershon and the land Nephi, that we may <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng protect] our brethren in the land Jershon; and this we do for our brethren, on account of their fear to take up arms against their brethren lest they should commit sin; and this their great fear came because of their sore repentance which they had, on account of their many murders and their awful wickedness.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>24</span> 現在看啊，我們為我們的弟兄這麼做，好讓他們能以裘勛地為業；我們派軍隊保護他們，免受敵人侵襲，他們只要給我們一小部分物資，協助我們供應駐軍即可。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> And now behold, this will we do unto our brethren, that they may inherit the land Jershon; and we will guard them from their enemies with our armies, on condition that they will give us a<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng portion] of their substance to assist us that we may maintain our armies.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>25</span> 事情是這樣的，艾蒙聽了這意見，就回安太尼腓李海人那裡去，阿爾瑪也同去，到了曠野中他們紮營的地方，就讓他們知道這一切事情。阿爾瑪還向他們述說他和艾蒙、亞倫及其弟兄<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/27/25a 歸信]的經過。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>25</span> Now, it came to pass that when Ammon had heard this, he returned to the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi, and also Alma with him, into the wilderness, where they had pitched their tents, and made known unto them all these things. And Alma also related unto them his <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng conversion], with Ammon and Aaron, and his brethren.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>26</span> 事情是這樣的，他們都因此非常快樂。他們下去進了裘勛地，並擁有裘勛地；尼腓人稱他們為艾蒙人；從此他們就以該名稱和其他民族區別。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>26</span> And it came to pass that it did cause great joy among them. And they went down into the land of Jershon, and took possession of the land of Jershon; and they were called by the Nephites the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng people] of Ammon; therefore they were distinguished by that name ever after.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>27</span> And they were among the people of Nephi, and also numbered among the people who were of the church of God. And they were also distinguished for their <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng zeal] towards God, and also towards men; for they were perfectly <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng honest] and upright in all things; and they were <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng firm] in the faith of Christ, even unto the end.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>28</span> 他們視流弟兄的血為最可憎的；沒有人能說服他們拿起武器攻擊自己的弟兄；由於他們對基督和對復活的希望與認識，他們對死亡沒有絲毫恐懼；所以，死亡對他們而言，已被基督克服死亡的勝利所吞沒。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>28</span> And they did look upon shedding the blood of their brethren with the greatest abhorrence; and they never could be prevailed upon to take up arms against their brethren; and they never did look upon death with any degree of terror, for their hope and views of Christ and the resurrection; therefore, death was swallowed up to them by the victory of Christ over it.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>29</span> 因此，他們寧願忍受自己弟兄可能加諸他們的最惡劣、最悲慘的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/27/29a 死亡]方式，也不願舉起劍或彎刀來擊打他們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>29</span> Therefore, they would suffer <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/27?lang=eng death] in the most aggravating and distressing manner which could be inflicted by their brethren, before they would take the sword or cimeter to smite them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>30</span> 他們就是這麼熱誠而可愛的民族，是蒙主大恩的民族。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>30</span> And thus they were a zealous and beloved people, a highly favored people of the Lord.</p>
