<p class='english'>Zenos taught that men should pray and worship in all places, and that judgments are turned away because of the Son—Zenock taught that mercy is bestowed because of the Son—Moses had lifted up in the wilderness a type of the Son of God. About 74 B.C.</p>

But behold, I say unto you, if ye suppose that ye cannot worship God, ye do greatly err, and ye ought to search the<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng scriptures]; if ye suppose that they have taught you this, ye do not understand them.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> Do ye remember to have read what <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng Zenos], the prophet of old, has said concerning prayer or <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng worship]?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span> 他說：神啊，您是慈悲的，因為縱然我身處曠野，您仍垂聽我的祈禱；是的，您是慈悲的，我為<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/33/4a 敵人]祈禱的時候，您使他們轉向我。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> For he said: Thou art merciful, O God, for thou hast heard my prayer, even when I was <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng in] the wilderness; yea, thou wast merciful when I prayed concerning those who were mine<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng enemies], and thou didst turn them to me.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> Yea, O God, thou hast been merciful unto me, and heard my cries in the midst of thy congregations.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 由於我的苦難和誠意，您垂聽我；您因您子的緣故，對我這樣慈悲；所以我要在一切苦難中呼求您，因為我的快樂在於您；您已因您子而免除對我的懲罰。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> And thou didst hear me because of mine afflictions and my<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng sincerity]; and it is because of thy Son that thou hast been thus merciful unto me, therefore I will cry unto thee in all mine<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng afflictions], for in thee is my joy; for thou hast turned thy judgments away from me, <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng because] of thy Son.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 阿爾瑪對他們說：你們相信古人寫的那些<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/33/12a 經文]嗎？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> And now Alma said unto them: Do ye <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng believe] those scriptures which have been written by them of old?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 看啊，如果你們相信，你們就必須相信<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/33/13a 徐納斯]所說的話；因為看啊，他說：您已因您子而免除您的懲罰。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> Behold, if ye do, ye must believe what <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng Zenos] said; for, behold he said: Thou hast turned away thy judgments because of thy Son.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> 現在看啊，弟兄們，我要問你們是否讀過那些經文？你們若讀過，怎麼會不相信神的兒子呢？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> Now behold, my brethren, I would ask if ye have read the scriptures? If ye have, how can ye <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng disbelieve] on the Son of God?</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 因為並<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/33/15a 不是]記載著只有徐納斯說過這些事，<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/33/15b 徐諾克]也說過這些事──</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> For it is <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng not] written that Zenos alone spake of these things, but <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng Zenock] also spake of these things—</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span> 因為看啊，他說：主啊，您對這人民發怒，因為他們不願了解您因您子而施與他們的慈悲。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> For behold, he said: Thou art angry, O Lord, with this people, because they <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng will] not understand thy mercies which thou hast bestowed upon them because of thy Son.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> And now, my brethren, ye see that a second prophet of old has testified of the Son of God, and because the people would not understand his words they <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng stoned] him to death.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span> 看啊，不僅如此；談論神的兒子的，不只這些人。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> But behold, this is not all; these are not the only ones who have spoken concerning the Son of God.</p>

And many did look and live.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>20</span> But few understood the meaning of those things, and this because of the hardness of their hearts. But there were many who were so hardened that they would not look, therefore they perished. Now the reason they would not look is because they did not believe that it would <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng heal] them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>21</span> 弟兄們啊，如果只要看一眼就得以治癒，你們難道不願趕快看嗎？還是你們寧可硬起心來不相信，寧可懶惰，不願看一眼而遭滅亡呢？</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> O my brethren, if ye could be healed by merely casting about your eyes that ye might be healed, would ye not behold quickly, or would ye rather harden your hearts in <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng unbelief], and be<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng slothful], that ye would not cast about your eyes, that ye might perish?</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> If so, wo shall come upon you; but if not so, then cast about your eyes and <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng begin] to believe in the Son of God, that he will come to redeem his people, and that he shall suffer and die to<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng atone] for their sins; and that he shall <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng rise] again from the dead, which shall bring to pass the <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng resurrection], that all men shall stand before him, to be <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng judged] at the last and judgment day, according to their <sup class='englishSup'>f</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng works].</p>

And behold, it will become a tree, <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng springing] up in you unto <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng ever]lasting life. And then may God grant unto you that your<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng burdens] may be light, through the joy of his Son. And even all this can ye do if ye <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/33?lang=eng will]. Amen.</p>
