<p class='english'>Amulek testifies that the word is in Christ unto salvation—Unless an atonement is made, all mankind must perish—The whole law of Moses points toward the sacrifice of the Son of God—The eternal plan of redemption is based on faith and repentance—Pray for temporal and spiritual blessings—This life is the time for men to prepare to meet God—Work out your salvation with fear before God. About 74 B.C.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> My brethren, I think that it is impossible that ye should be ignorant of the things which have been spoken concerning the coming of Christ, who is taught by us to be the Son of God; yea, I know that <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng these] things were taught unto you bountifully before your dissension from among us.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span> 你們曾因你們的苦難，希望我心愛的弟兄告訴你們該怎麼辦，他對你們說了一些話，以準備你們的心；是的，他勸告你們要有信心和耐心──</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> And as ye have desired of my beloved brother that he should make known unto you <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng what] ye should do, because of your afflictions; and he hath spoken somewhat unto you to prepare your minds; yea, and he hath exhorted you unto faith and to patience—</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> And ye also beheld that my brother has proved unto you, in many instances, that the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng word] is in Christ unto salvation.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> My brother has called upon the words of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng Zenos], that redemption cometh through the Son of God, and also upon the words of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng Zenock]; and also he has appealed unto <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng Moses], to prove that these things are true.</p>

Behold, I say unto you, that I do know that Christ shall come among the children of men, to take upon him the<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng transgressions] of his people, and that he shall <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng atone] for the sins of the world; for the Lord God hath spoken it.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> For it is expedient that an <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng atonement] should be made; for according to the great <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng plan] of the Eternal God there must be an atonement made, or else all mankind must unavoidably perish; yea, all are hardened; yea, all are <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng fallen] and are lost, and must perish except it be through the atonement which it is expedient should be made.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> For it is expedient that there should be a great and last<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng sacrifice]; yea, not a <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng sacrifice] of man, neither of beast, neither of any manner of fowl; for it shall not be a human sacrifice; but it must be an <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng infinite] and <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng eternal] <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng sacrifice].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 沒有任何人能犧牲自己的血來贖別人的罪。若一個人殺了人，看啊，我們<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/11a 公正]的法律會取他弟兄的命嗎？我告訴你們，不會。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> Now there is not any man that can sacrifice his own blood which will atone for the sins of another. Now, if a man murdereth, behold will our law, which is <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng just], take the life of his brother? I say unto you, Nay.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 法律卻要<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/12a 殺人者]的命；所以凡缺乏無限贖罪的，都不足以抵世人的罪。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> But the law requireth the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng life] of him who hath <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng murdered]; therefore there can be nothing which is short of an infinite atonement which will suffice for the sins of the world.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> Therefore, it is expedient that there should be a great and last sacrifice, and then shall there be, or it is expedient there should be, a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng stop] to the shedding of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng blood]; then shall the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng law] of Moses be fulfilled; yea, it shall be all fulfilled, every jot and tittle, and none shall have passed away.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> And behold, this is the whole <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng meaning] of the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng law], every whit<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng pointing] to that great and last <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng sacrifice]; and that great and last<sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng sacrifice] will be the Son of God, yea, <sup class='englishSup'>f</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng infinite] and eternal.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 祂這樣為所有相信祂名的人帶來<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/15a 救恩]；這最後犧牲的目的，在於使那凌駕公道的慈悲心腸得以生效，並為世人提供方法，能獲得信心而悔改。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> And thus he shall bring <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng salvation] to all those who shall believe on his name; this being the intent of this last sacrifice, to bring about the bowels of mercy, which overpowereth justice, and bringeth about means unto men that they may have faith unto repentance.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> And thus <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng mercy] can satisfy the demands of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng justice], and encircles them in the arms of safety, while he that exercises no faith unto repentance is exposed to the whole law of the demands of <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng justice]; therefore only unto him that has faith unto repentance is brought about the great and eternal <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng plan] of<sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng redemption].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span> 因此，弟兄們，願神恩准，使你們能開始運用<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/17a 信心]來悔改，開始<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/17b 呼求]祂的聖名，求祂憐憫你們；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> Therefore may God grant unto you, my brethren, that ye may begin to exercise your <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng faith] unto repentance, that ye begin to<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng call] upon his holy name, that he would have mercy upon you;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span> 是的，呼求祂的憐憫；因為祂有大能來拯救。</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>24</span> 為你們田裡的作物呼求祂，使你們豐收。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> Cry unto him over the crops of your fields, that ye may prosper in them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>25</span> 為你們牧場的羊群呼求祂，使羊群增加。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>25</span> Cry over the flocks of your fields, that they may increase.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>26</span> But this is not all; ye must <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng pour] out your souls in your<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng closets], and your secret places, and in your wilderness.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>27</span> 是的，你們不呼求主時，要讓你們的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/27a 心]<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/27b 充滿]，為自己的福祉和周圍的人的福祉，不斷傾注在對祂的祈禱中。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>27</span> Yea, and when you do not cry unto the Lord, let your <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng hearts]be <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng full], drawn out in prayer unto him continually for your<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng welfare], and also for the welfare of <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng those] who are around you.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>28</span> 現在看啊，我心愛的弟兄們，我告訴你們，不要以為這就夠了；因為你們做了所有這些事後，若不幫助<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/28a 貧困]的人和無衣蔽體的人，不探視患病受苦的人，有財物卻不<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/28b 分給]有需要的人──我告訴你們，如果你們不做這些事中的任何一件，看啊，你們的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/28c 禱告]也是<sup class='chineseSup'>ｄ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/28d 枉然]的，對你們毫無益處，你們就像否認信仰的偽善者一樣。</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>29</span> 所以，你們若不記得要作個<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/29a 有]愛心的人，就會像渣滓一樣，為冶金者丟棄（因為毫無價值），任人在腳下踐踏。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>29</span> Therefore, if ye do not remember to be <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng charitable], ye are as dross, which the refiners do cast out, (it being of no worth) and is trodden under foot of men.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>34</span> 你們身處那可怕的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/34a 危機]時，就不能說，我會悔改，我會回到我的神那裡。不能，你們不能這麼說了；因為你們離開今生時，那佔據你們身體的靈，也會有能力在永恆世界中佔據你們的身體。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>34</span> Ye cannot say, when ye are brought to that awful <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng crisis], that I will repent, that I will return to my God. Nay, ye cannot say this; for that same spirit which doth <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/34?lang=eng possess] your bodies at the time that ye go out of this life, that same spirit will have power to possess your body in that eternal world.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>35</span> 因為看啊，你們若將悔改的日子拖延到死亡，看啊，你們就<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/35a 受]制於魔鬼的靈，而他便<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/34/35b 印證]你們是屬於他的；於是，主的靈就從你們那裡退出，在你們裡面無處可容，而魔鬼卻有力量完全控制你們；這就是罪人的最後景況。</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>41</span> 你們要有耐心，忍受那些苦難，懷著堅定的希望，期盼有一天你們會脫離一切苦難。</p>
