And now, concerning this space of time, what becometh of the souls of men is the thing which I have inquired diligently of the Lord to know; and this is the thing of which I do know.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 世人復活的時刻到來時,他們必知道神清楚所有已為世人定好的<sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/10a 時刻]。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And when the time cometh when all shall rise, then shall they know that God <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng knoweth] all the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng times] which are appointed unto man.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 談到靈魂在<sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/11a 死亡]與復活之間的景況──看啊,有位天使告訴我,所有的人的靈一離開這必死的身體,是的,所有的人的靈,不論善惡,都要被<sup class='chineseSup'>b</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/11b 帶回家],到賜給他們生命的神那裡。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> Now, concerning the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng state] of the soul between <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng death] and the resurrection—Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng taken] <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng home] to that God who gave them life.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 於是事情將是這樣,義人的靈被接到一種<sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/12a 幸福]的狀態中;那裡叫作<sup class='chineseSup'>b</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/12b 樂園],是一種<sup class='chineseSup'>c</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/12c 安息]的狀態,<sup class='chineseSup'>d</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/12d 平安]的狀態;他們必在那裡安息,不再煩惱、憂慮和悲傷。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng happiness], which is called <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng paradise], a state of rest, a state of <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng peace], where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 於是事情將是這樣,惡人的靈,是的,就是那些作惡的人──因為看啊,他們絲毫沒有主的靈;因為看啊,他們寧可選擇邪惡的事,也不選擇良善的事,所以魔鬼的靈進到他們裡面,佔據他們的屋宇──這些靈必被拋到外層<sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/13a 黑暗]裡;那裡必有<sup class='chineseSup'>b</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/13b 哭泣]、哀號與切齒,這一切都因為他們自己的罪惡,他們受魔鬼的意志左右而成為俘虜。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> And then shall it come to pass, that the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng spirits] of the wicked, yea, who are evil—for behold, they have no part nor portion of the Spirit of the Lord; for behold, they chose evil works rather than good; therefore the spirit of the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng devil] did enter into them, and take possession of their house—and these shall be cast out into outer <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng darkness]; there shall be <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng weeping], and wailing, and gnashing of teeth, and this because of their own iniquity, being led captive by the will of the devil.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> 這就是<sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/14a 惡人]靈魂的景況,是的,在黑暗裡,在一種恐怖的狀態中,<sup class='chineseSup'>b</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/14b 恐懼]地等待神憤怒如火的義憤臨頭;他們要留在這樣的<sup class='chineseSup'>c</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/14c 狀態]中,而義人也要留在樂園中,直到他們復活的時刻。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> Now this is the state of the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng souls] of the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng wicked], yea, in darkness, and a state of awful, <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng fearful] looking for the fiery<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng indignation] of the wrath of God upon them; thus they remain in this <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng state], as well as the righteous in paradise, until the time of their resurrection.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 有些人認為,復活之前,靈魂所處的幸福狀態和悲慘狀態,就是第一次復活。是的,根據所說過的,我承認靈或靈魂的復甦,和靈或靈魂被帶到幸福或悲慘的狀態中或許可以稱為復活。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> Now, there are some that have understood that this state of happiness and this state of misery of the soul, before the resurrection, was a first resurrection. Yea, I admit it may be termed a resurrection, the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng raising] of the spirit or the soul and their consignation to happiness or misery, according to the words which have been spoken.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span> 看啊,還有人說過,有一種<sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/16a 第]一次的<sup class='chineseSup'>b</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/16b 復活],一種所有過去、現在和將來直到基督從死裡復活以前的人的復活。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> And behold, again it hath been spoken, that there is a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng first]<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng resurrection], a resurrection of all those who have been, or who are, or who shall be, down to the resurrection of Christ from the dead.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span> 我們不以為像這種說法的第一次復活,會是那靈魂的復活和靈魂<sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/17a 被]帶到幸福或悲慘的狀態中。你不要以為這就是那個意思。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> Now, we do not suppose that this first resurrection, which is spoken of in this manner, can be the resurrection of the souls and their <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng consignation] to happiness or misery. Ye cannot suppose that this is what it meaneth.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span> 看啊,我告訴你,不是那個意思,而是指從亞當時代起到<sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/18a 基督]復活時的人,靈魂和身體的重新結合。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> Behold, I say unto you, Nay; but this much I say, that there is a <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng space] between death and the resurrection of the body, and a state of the soul in <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng happiness] or in <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng misery] until the time which is appointed of God that the dead shall come forth, and be reunited, both soul and body, and be<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng brought] to stand before God, and be judged according to their works.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>22</span> 是的,這樣就完成了眾先知的口所說的那些事物的復原。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>22</span> Yea, this bringeth about the restoration of those things of which has been spoken by the mouths of the prophets.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>23</span> <sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/23a 靈魂]必<sup class='chineseSup'>b</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/23b 回復]到<sup class='chineseSup'>c</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/23c 身體],身體必回復到靈魂;是的,每個肢體與關節都必回復到其身體上,是的,連一根頭髮也不會少;萬物都必回復到原來而完美的軀體上。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>23</span> The <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng soul] shall be <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng restored] to the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng body], and the body to the soul; yea, and every limb and joint shall be restored to its body; yea, even a <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng hair] of the head shall not be lost; but all things shall be restored to their proper and <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng perfect] frame.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>24</span> 我兒,這就是眾先知的口<sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/24a 所]說的復原──</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>24</span> And now, my son, this is the restoration of which has been<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng spoken] by the mouths of the prophets—</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>25</span> 那時義人必在神國裡發出光來。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>25</span> And then shall the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng righteous] shine forth in the kingdom of God.</p> <p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>26</span> 但是看啊,可怕的<sup class='chineseSup'>a</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/26a 死亡]必降臨惡人;因為就和正義有關的事來說,他們已經死亡;他們是不潔的,絕無<sup class='chineseSup'>b</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/40/26b 不潔]之物能承受神的國度;他們要被趕出去,被帶去吃自己邪惡的工作和行為所結的果子;他們要喝那苦杯中的渣滓。</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>26</span> But behold, an awful <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng death] cometh upon the wicked; for they die as to things pertaining to things of righteousness; for they are unclean, and <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/40?lang=eng no] unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of God;
