<p class='chinese'>摩羅乃請派賀藍加強希拉曼的軍力──拉曼人佔領尼腓哈城──摩羅乃對政府感到憤怒。約主前六二年。</p>
<p class='english'>Moroni asks Pahoran to strengthen the forces of Helaman—The Lamanites take the city of Nephihah—Moroni is angry with the government. About 62 B.C.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi, after Moroni had received and had read Helaman’s <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/59?lang=eng epistle], he was exceedingly rejoiced because of the welfare, yea, the exceeding success which Helaman had had, in obtaining <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/59?lang=eng those] lands which were lost.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span> 是的，他把這消息告訴他所在的那整個地方所有的人民，讓他們一同快樂。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> Yea, and he did make it known unto all his people, in all the land round about in that part where he was, that they might rejoice also.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> And it came to pass that he immediately sent <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/59?lang=eng an] epistle to<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/59?lang=eng Pahoran], desiring that he should cause men to be gathered together to strengthen Helaman, or the armies of Helaman, insomuch that he might with ease maintain that part of the land which he had been so miraculously prospered in regaining.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span> 事情是這樣的，摩羅乃派人送這封信到柴雷罕拉地去，同時再度著手計畫取得拉曼人從他們手中奪去的其餘產業和城市。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And it came to pass when Moroni had sent this epistle to the land of Zarahemla, he began again to lay a plan that he might obtain the remainder of those possessions and cities which the Lamanites had taken from them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 事情是這樣的，正當摩羅乃這樣準備與拉曼人作戰的時候，看啊，從摩羅乃城、李海城和摩林安頓城聚集起來的尼腓哈的人民，遭到拉曼人的攻擊。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> And it came to pass that while Moroni was thus making preparations to go against the Lamanites to battle, behold, the people of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/59?lang=eng Nephihah], who were gathered together from the city of Moroni and the city of Lehi and the city of Morianton, were attacked by the Lamanites.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 是的，那些被迫逃離曼泰地及鄰近地區的人也過來，加入這一地區的拉曼人。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> Yea, even those who had been <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/59?lang=eng compelled] to flee from the land of Manti, and from the land round about, had come over and joined the Lamanites in this part of the land.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 他們人數非常多，是的，並且天天獲得新的兵力；他們奉艾摩龍的命令出來攻擊尼腓哈的人民，開始大肆屠殺他們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> And thus being exceedingly numerous, yea, and receiving strength from day to day, by the command of Ammoron they came forth against the people of Nephihah, and they did begin to slay them with an exceedingly great slaughter.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 他們的軍隊人數如此多，使其餘的尼腓哈人民不得不逃離，來加入摩羅乃的軍隊。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> And their armies were so numerous that the remainder of the people of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/59?lang=eng Nephihah] were <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/59?lang=eng obliged] to flee before them; and they came even and joined the army of Moroni.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span> 摩羅乃以為應已有軍隊派往尼腓哈城，協助人民守住該城，因為他知道守住該城不落入拉曼人手中，要比從他們手中收復該城容易得多，他以為他們能輕易守住該城。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> And now as Moroni had supposed that there <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/59?lang=eng should] be men sent to the city of Nephihah, to the assistance of the people to maintain that city, and knowing that it was easier to keep the city from falling into the hands of the Lamanites than to retake it from them, he supposed that they would easily maintain that city.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 於是他派全軍守住他收復的地方。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> Therefore he retained all his force to maintain those places which he had recovered.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 摩羅乃見尼腓哈城失陷，極為憂傷，並且因為這人民的邪惡而開始懷疑他們是否應該落在他們弟兄的手裡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> And now, when Moroni saw that the city of Nephihah was<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/59?lang=eng lost] he was exceedingly sorrowful, and began to doubt, because of the wickedness of the people, whether they should not fall into the hands of their brethren.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 他的總隊長們也和他一樣，因為人民的邪惡而感到懷疑和驚訝；這都起因於拉曼人戰勝了他們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> Now this was the case with all his chief captains. They doubted and marveled also because of the wickedness of the people, and this because of the success of the Lamanites over them.</p>
