<p class='chinese'>派賀藍把造反及背叛政府的情況告訴摩羅乃──國王派人士佔領柴雷罕拉，並與拉曼人聯盟──派賀藍請求軍事援助平亂。約主前六二年。</p>
<p class='english'>Pahoran tells Moroni of the insurrection and rebellion against the government—The king-men take Zarahemla and are in league with the Lamanites—Pahoran asks for military aid against the rebels. About 62B.C.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span> 看啊，事情是這樣的，摩羅乃送出他的信給首席統治者後，很快就收到首席統治者<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/61/1a 派賀藍]的回信。以下便是他收到的話：</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> Behold, now it came to pass that soon after Moroni had sent his epistle unto the chief governor, he received an epistle from<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng Pahoran], the chief governor. And these are the words which he received:</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span> 我是此地的首席統治者派賀藍，致函我軍總隊長摩羅乃。看啊，摩羅乃，我告訴你，我並不因你們所受的大<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/61/2a 苦難]而快樂，是的，你們的苦難使我的靈魂憂傷。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> I, Pahoran, who am the chief governor of this land, do send these words unto Moroni, the chief captain over the army. Behold, I say unto you, Moroni, that I do not joy in your great<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng afflictions], yea, it grieves my soul.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span> 但是看啊，有些人確實因你們受苦而快樂，是的，他們甚至起來造反，反對我和<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/61/3a 自由派]的人士；是的，造反的人為數甚多。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> But behold, there are those who do joy in your afflictions, yea, insomuch that they have risen up in <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng rebellion] against me, and also those of my people who are <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng freemen], yea, and those who have risen up are exceedingly numerous.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span> 造成這樁重大罪行的，就是那些想謀取我審判席的人；他們極盡諂媚，引誘許多人的心，這將是我們受大苦難的原因；他們扣留我們的補給，恐嚇自由派人士，使他們沒有到你們那裡去。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And it is those who have sought to take away the judgment-seat from me that have been the cause of this great iniquity; for they have used great <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng flattery], and they have <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng led] away the hearts of many people, which will be the cause of sore affliction among us; they have withheld our provisions, and have daunted our<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng freemen] that they have not come unto you.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 看啊，他們把我趕出去，於是我帶著我能帶的人一起逃到基甸地。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> And behold, they have driven me out before them, and I have fled to the land of Gideon, with as many men as it were possible that I could get.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> And behold, I have sent a proclamation throughout this part of the land; and behold, they are <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng flocking] to us <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng daily], to their arms, in the defence of their country and their <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng freedom], and to avenge our <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng wrongs].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 他們到我們這裡來，公然反抗那些起來反叛我們的人；是的，以致那些反叛我們的人怕我們，不敢來和我們作戰。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> And they have come unto us, insomuch that those who have risen up in rebellion against us are set at defiance, yea, insomuch that they do fear us and durst not come out against us to battle.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 他們佔領柴雷罕拉地，也就是柴雷罕拉城；他們選派了一個國王，那國王寫信給拉曼人的國王，在信中與他聯盟；他在盟約裡答應守住柴雷罕拉城，以為這麼做能讓拉曼人去征服其餘的土地，等拉曼人征服這人民後，他就能當他們的國王。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> They have <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng got] possession of the land, or the city, of Zarahemla; they have appointed a <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng king] over them, and he hath written unto the king of the Lamanites, in the which he hath joined an alliance with him; in the which alliance he hath agreed to maintain the city of Zarahemla, which maintenance he supposeth will enable the Lamanites to conquer the remainder of the land, and he shall be placed king over this people when they shall be conquered <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng under] the Lamanites.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span> 你在信中責難我，但是沒有關係；我並不生氣，且因你寬大的心胸而快樂。我，派賀藍，不追求權力，只願保留我的審判席，以維護同胞的權利與自由。我的靈魂固守著神用以解放我們的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/61/9a 自由]。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> And now, in your epistle you have <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng censured] me, but it mattereth not; I am not angry, but do rejoice in the greatness of your heart. I, Pahoran, do not <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng seek] for power, save only to retain my judgment-seat that I may preserve the rights and the liberty of my people. My soul standeth fast in that liberty in the which God hath made us <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng free].</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 現在看啊，即使要流血，我們也要抵抗邪惡。如果拉曼人要留在他們的土地上，我們就不流他們的血。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> And now, behold, we will resist wickedness even unto bloodshed. We would <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng not] shed the blood of the Lamanites if they would stay in their own land.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 如果我們的弟兄不起來造反，不拿劍攻擊我們，我們也不會流他們的血。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> We would not shed the blood of our brethren if they would not rise up in rebellion and take the sword against us.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 如果神的公道要求，或是祂命令我們，我們願意受制於奴役之軛。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> We would subject ourselves to the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng yoke] of bondage if it were requisite with the justice of God, or if he should command us so to do.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 但是看啊，祂並未命令我們臣服於敵人，卻要我們<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/61/13a 信賴]祂，祂必拯救我們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> But behold he doth not command us that we shall subject ourselves to our enemies, but that we should put our <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng trust] in him, and he will deliver us.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> 因此，我心愛的弟兄摩羅乃，讓我們抵抗邪惡，凡我們不能以言語抵抗的邪惡，如造反與叛亂等，讓我們用劍來<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/61/14a 抵抗]，這樣我們才能保有自由，才能為教會偉大的特權，並為我們救贖主及我們神的偉業而快樂。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> Therefore, my beloved brother, Moroni, let us resist evil, and whatsoever evil we cannot resist with our <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng words], yea, such as rebellions and dissensions, let us <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng resist] them with our swords, that we may retain our freedom, that we may rejoice in the great privilege of our church, and in the cause of our Redeemer and our God.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>15</span> 因此，儘速帶一些人到我這裡來，其餘的人則交給李海和鐵安肯指揮；按照<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/alma/61/15a 神]的靈，即那在他們裡面的自由之靈，授予他們在那裡指揮作戰的權力。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> Therefore, come unto me speedily with a few of your men, and leave the remainder in the charge of Lehi and Teancum; give unto them power to conduct the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng war] in that part of the land, according to the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng Spirit] of God, which is also the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng spirit] of freedom which is in them.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>16</span> 看啊，我已送出一些補給給他們，讓他們在你們來我這裡以前不致餓死。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>16</span> Behold I have sent a few provisions unto them, that they may not perish until ye can come unto me.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>17</span> 你們到此地來的途中，儘量召集兵員，我們要靠那按照我們的信心而獲得的神的力量，儘速去攻打那些叛離者。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>17</span> Gather together whatsoever force ye can upon your march hither, and we will go speedily against those dissenters, in the strength of our God according to the faith which is in us.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>18</span> 我們要佔領柴雷罕拉城，這樣我們就能獲得更多糧食送去給李海和鐵安肯；是的，我們要靠主的力量去攻打他們，終止這樁大惡。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>18</span> And we will <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng take] possession of the city of Zarahemla, that we may obtain more food to send forth unto Lehi and Teancum; yea, we will go forth against them in the strength of the Lord, and we will put an end to this great iniquity.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>19</span> 摩羅乃，我很高興收到你的信，因為對於我們該做的事，我有點擔心，不知去攻打我們的弟兄是否正當。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>19</span> And now, Moroni, I do joy in receiving your epistle, for I was somewhat worried concerning what we should do, whether it should be just in us to go against our brethren.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>21</span> See that ye <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng strengthen] Lehi and Teancum in the Lord; tell them to fear not, for God will deliver them, yea, and also all those who <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/alma/61?lang=eng stand] fast in that liberty wherewith God hath made them free. And now I close mine epistle to my beloved brother, Moroni.</p>
