<p class='english'>Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Kirtland, Ohio, 25 November 1834 (see History of the Church, 2:170–71). This revelation is directed to Warren A. Cowdery, an older brother of Oliver Cowdery.</p>
<p class='chinese'>1–3，華倫 • 考德里要被召喚為當地的主領職員；4–5，第二次來臨不會像賊那樣突然臨到光明之子；6–8，極大的祝福隨著教會中忠信的服務而來。</p>
<p class='english'>1–3, Warren A. Cowdery is called as a local presiding officer; 4–5, The Second Coming will not overtake the children of light as a thief; 6–8, Great blessings follow faithful service in the Church.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> It is my will that my servant Warren A. Cowdery should be appointed and ordained a presiding high priest over my church, in the land of <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng Freedom] and the regions round about;</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> And devote his whole time to this high and holy calling, which I now give unto him, <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng seeking] diligently the kingdom of heaven and its righteousness, and all things necessary shall be added thereunto; for the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng laborer] is worthy of his hire.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span> 還有，我實在告訴你們，<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/106/4a 主]的來臨<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/106/4b 近]了，這來臨要像夜間的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/106/4c 賊]一樣突然臨到世人──</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And again, verily I say unto you, the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng coming] of the Lord draweth nigh, and it overtaketh the world as a <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng thief] in the night—</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 所以，束緊你們的腰，好使你們成為<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/106/5a 光明]之子，那日子就不會<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/106/5b 像]賊那樣突然臨到你們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> Therefore, gird up your loins, that you may be the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng children] of light, and that day shall not <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng overtake] you as a thief.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 還有，我實在告訴你們，當我僕人華倫向我的權杖屈身，並將自己與世人的奸詐隔離時，天上有喜樂；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> And again, verily I say unto you, there was joy in heaven when my servant Warren bowed to my scepter, and separated himself from the crafts of men;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 所以，我僕人華倫有福了，因為我必憐憫他；而且，雖然他有<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/106/7a 虛榮心]，只要他在我面前謙卑，我必高舉他。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> Therefore, blessed is my servant Warren, for I will have mercy on him; and, notwithstanding the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng vanity] of his heart, I will lift him up inasmuch as he will humble himself before me.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 我必給他<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/106/8a 恩典]和保證，使他能站得住；如果他繼續作忠信的證人和教會的光，我已在我父的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/106/8b 住處]為他預備了冠冕。正如這樣。阿們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> And I will give him <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng grace] and assurance wherewith he may stand; and if he continue to be a faithful witness and a <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng light] unto the church I have prepared a crown for him in the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/106?lang=eng mansions] of my Father. Even so. Amen.</p>
