<p class='chinese'>一八三一年二月下旬，在俄亥俄，嘉德蘭，給予先知約瑟 • 斯密和西德尼 • 雷格登的啟示〔教會史，1:157〕。教會為了遵從本啟示中的要求，定於同年六月初舉行教友大會。</p>
<p class='english'>Revelation given to Joseph Smith the Prophet and Sidney Rigdon, at Kirtland, Ohio, in the latter part of February 1831 (seeHistory of the Church, 1:157). In compliance with the requirement herein set forth, the Church appointed a conference to be held early in the month of June following.</p>
<p class='chinese'>1–3，長老要聚集在大會裡；4–6，他們要依當地法律組織起來，並且要照顧窮人。</p>
<p class='english'>1–3, Elders are to assemble in conference; 4–6, They are to organize according to the laws of the land and to care for the poor.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span> 看啊，主這樣對你們這些我的僕人們說，我認為應當用書信或其他方法，從東西南北各地召集我教會的長老。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> Behold, thus saith the Lord unto you my servants, it is expedient in me that the elders of my church should be <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/44?lang=eng called]together, from the east and from the west, and from the north and from the south, by letter or some other way.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span> 事情將是這樣，只要他們忠信，並運用對我的信心，我必在他們聚集的那天，將我的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/44/2a 靈]澆灌在他們身上。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> And it shall come to pass, that inasmuch as they are faithful, and exercise faith in me, I will pour out my <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/44?lang=eng Spirit] upon them in the day that they assemble themselves together.</p>

<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span> 而且許多人將<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/44/4a 歸信]，所以你們會獲得能力<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/44/4b 依照]人的法律組織起來；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And many shall be <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/44?lang=eng converted], insomuch that ye shall obtain<sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/44?lang=eng power] to organize yourselves <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/44?lang=eng according] to the laws of man;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 你們的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/44/5a 敵人]就沒有能力控制你們；你們就能在各方面得到保全；你們就能遵守我的律法；敵人企圖用來毀滅我人民的各種束縛就可以破除。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> That your <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/44?lang=eng enemies] may not have power over you; that you may be preserved in all things; that you may be enabled to keep my laws; that every bond may be broken wherewith the enemy seeketh to destroy my people.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 看啊，我對你們說，你們必須<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/44/6a 探訪]窮人和困苦的人，救助他們，使他們得到照料，直到一切都按照你們所接受的我的律法完成。阿們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> Behold, I say unto you, that ye must <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/44?lang=eng visit] the poor and the needy and administer to their relief, that they may be kept until all things may be done according to my law which ye have received. Amen.</p>
