<p class='chinese'>一八三二年一月，在俄亥俄，海蘭，給予先知約瑟 • 斯密的啟示〔教會史，1:242〕。先知寫道：「我蒙得上述主的話〔教約七十三篇〕之後，就重新開始翻譯經文，並努力工作，直到一月二十五日舉行大會前。在這期間，我又蒙得以下解釋哥林多前書第七章第十四節的啟示」〔教會史，1:242〕。</p>
<p class='english'>Revelation given to Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Hiram, Ohio, January 1832 (see History of the Church, 1:242). The Prophet writes: “Upon the reception of the foregoing word of the Lord [D&C 73], I recommenced the translation of the Scriptures, and labored diligently until just before the conference, which was to convene on the 25th of January. During this period I also received the following, as an explanation of the First Epistle to the Corinthians, 7th chapter, 14th verse” (History of the Church,1:242).</p>
<p class='chinese'>1–5，保羅勸當時的教會不要守摩西律法；6–7，小孩子是聖潔的，他們經由贖罪而成為聖潔。</p>
<p class='english'>1–5, Paul counsels the Church of his day not to keep the law of Moses; 6–7, Little children are holy and are sanctified through the Atonement.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>1</span> 因為<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/1a 不信]的丈夫，就因著妻子成了聖潔；並且不信的妻子，就因著丈夫成了聖潔；不然，你們的兒女就不潔淨。但如今他們是聖潔的了。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span> For the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng unbelieving] <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng husband] is <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng sanctified] by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; else were your children unclean, but now are they holy.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>2</span> 原來在使徒的時代，所有不信耶穌基督福音的猶太人，都守割禮的律法。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span> Now, in the days of the apostles the law of circumcision was had among all the Jews who believed not the gospel of Jesus Christ.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>3</span> 事情是這樣的，人民為了<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/3a 割禮]的律法，起了激烈的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/3b 紛爭]，因為不信的丈夫希望自己的孩子受割禮，以遵守<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/3c 摩西]律法，而那律法已成全。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span> And it came to pass that there arose a great <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng contention] among the people concerning the law of <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng circumcision], for the unbelieving husband was desirous that his children should be circumcised and become subject to the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng law] of Moses, which law was fulfilled.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>4</span> 事情是這樣的，孩子因為在遵守摩西律法的情況下長大，就遵守祖先的<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/4a 傳統]，不相信基督的福音，由此他們變成不聖潔。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span> And it came to pass that the children, being brought up in subjection to the law of Moses, gave heed to the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng traditions] of their fathers and believed not the gospel of Christ, wherein they became unholy.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>5</span> 因此，那位使徒就為了這緣故，寫信給教友，給他們一條誡命，不是主的，而是他自己的，要求信徒不要與不信者<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/5a 結合]，除非<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/5b 摩西]律法從他們當中廢除，</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> Wherefore, for this cause the apostle wrote unto the church, giving unto them a commandment, not of the Lord, but of himself, that a believer should not be <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng united] to an <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng unbeliever]; except the <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng law] of Moses should be done away among them,</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 這樣他們的孩子就可以維持不受割禮，使那說小孩子不聖潔的傳統得以廢除；那就是猶太人所守的傳統；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> That their children might remain without circumcision; and that the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng tradition] might be done away, which saith that little children are unholy; for it was had among the Jews;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 但是<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/7a 小孩子]是<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/7b 聖潔]的，因為他們已由耶穌基督的<sup class='chineseSup'>ｃ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/7c 贖罪]而成為<sup class='chineseSup'>ｄ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/74/7d 聖潔]；這就是那段經文的意思。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> But little <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng children] are <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng holy], being <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng sanctified] through the<sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/74?lang=eng atonement] of Jesus Christ; and this is what the scriptures mean.</p>
