<p class='chinese'>一八二九年四月，於賓夕法尼亞，哈茂耐，透過先知約瑟 • 斯密給予奧利佛 • 考德里的啟示〔教會史，1:36–37〕。在翻譯摩爾門經的過程中，奧利佛一直擔任抄寫員，寫下先知的口述，他希望獲得翻譯的恩賜。主賜給這啟示，答覆他的祈求。</p>
<p class='english'>Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet to Oliver Cowdery, at Harmony, Pennsylvania, April 1829 (see History of the Church, 1:36–37). In the course of the translation of the Book of Mormon, Oliver, who continued to serve as scribe, writing at the Prophet’s dictation, desired to be endowed with the gift of translation. The Lord responded to his supplication by granting this revelation.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span> Oh, remember these <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/8?lang=eng words], and keep my commandments. Remember, this is your gift.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>6</span> 這不是你全部的恩賜，因為你有別的恩賜，就是亞倫的恩賜；看啊，那恩賜已告訴你許多事情；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span> Now this is not all thy <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/8?lang=eng gift]; for you have another gift, which is the gift of Aaron; behold, it has told you many things;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>7</span> 看啊，除了神的大能，別無其他能力可使亞倫的恩賜與你同在。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> Behold, there is no other power, save the power of God, that can cause this gift of Aaron to be with you.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 所以，不要懷疑，因為那是神的恩賜；你要把它握在手中，並做奇妙的工作；任何勢力都不能從你手中取走那恩賜，因為那是神的工作。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span> Therefore, <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/8?lang=eng doubt] not, for it is the gift of God; and you shall hold it in your hands, and do marvelous works; and no power shall be able to take it away out of your hands, for it is the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/8?lang=eng work]of God.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>9</span> 因此，你用那工具無論求我告訴你什麼，我都應允你，你必獲得有關的知識。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> And, therefore, whatsoever you shall ask me to tell you by that means, that will I grant unto you, and you shall have knowledge concerning it.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>10</span> 記住，若無<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/8/10a 信心]，你什麼事都做不成，所以要憑信心祈求。不要輕視這些事；不要<sup class='chineseSup'>ｂ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/8/10b 祈求]你不該祈求的。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> Remember that without <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/8?lang=eng faith] you can do nothing; therefore ask in faith. Trifle not with these things; do not <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/8?lang=eng ask] for that which you ought not.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 要祈求能知道神的奧祕，能<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/8/11a 翻譯]，並從被隱藏的神聖古代紀錄中獲得知識；這樣一切必按照你的信心而成就。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> Ask that you may know the mysteries of God, and that you may <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/8?lang=eng translate] and receive knowledge from all those ancient records which have been hid up, that are <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/8?lang=eng sacred]; and according to your faith shall it be done unto you.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>12</span> 看啊，說這話的是我；我是從開始就對你說話的那位。阿們。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> Behold, it is I that have spoken it; and I am the same that spake unto you from the beginning. Amen.</p>
