<p class='english'>Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Kirtland, Ohio, 1 June 1833 (see History of the Church, 1:350–52). This revelation is a continuation of divine directions to build houses for worship and instruction, especially the house of the Lord (seesection 88:119–36 and section 94).</p>
<p class='chinese'>1–6，聖徒因未建主的殿而受責罰；7–10，主渴望在祂的殿中將高天的能力賦予祂的人民；11–17，這殿要奉獻作為崇拜之所和使徒學校。</p>
<p class='english'>1–6, The Saints are chastened for their failure to build the house of the Lord; 7–10, The Lord desires to use his house to endow his people with power from on high; 11–17, The house is to be dedicated as a place of worship and for the school of the Apostles.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span> And for this cause I gave unto you a commandment that you should call your <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng solemn] assembly, that your <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng fastings] and your<sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng mourning] might come up into the ears of the Lord of <sup class='englishSup'>d</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng Sabaoth], which is by interpretation, the <sup class='englishSup'>e</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng creator] of the first day, the beginning and the end.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>8</span> 是的，我實在告訴你們，我已給你們一條誡命，你們應該建一座聖殿，我計畫在那殿中將高天的能力<sup class='chineseSup'>ａ</sup>[http://scriptures.lds.org/zh/dc/95/8a 賦予]我所揀選的人；</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span> For this is the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng promise] of the Father unto you; therefore I command you to tarry, even as mine apostles at Jerusalem.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span> Nevertheless, my servants sinned a very grievous sin; and<sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng contentions] arose in the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng school] of the prophets; which was very grievous unto me, saith your Lord; therefore I sent them forth to be chastened.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>11</span> 我實在告訴你們，我的旨意是要你們建一座殿。如果你們遵守我的誡命，你們就有能力建造。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span> Verily I say unto you, it is my will that you should build a house. <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng If] you keep my commandments you shall have power to build it.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span> If you <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng keep] not my commandments, the <sup class='englishSup'>b</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng love] of the Father shall not continue with you, therefore you shall <sup class='englishSup'>c</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng walk] in darkness.</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>13</span> 這就是智慧，也是主的心意──要把那殿建造起來，不是按照世俗的樣式，因為我不要你們按照世俗的樣式生活；</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span> Now here is wisdom, and the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng mind] of the Lord—let the house be built, not after the manner of the world, for I give not unto you that ye shall live after the manner of the world;</p>
<p class='chinese'><span class='chineseVerse'>14</span> 所以，那殿要按照我將指示你們之中三個人的樣式建造，你們要任命並按立他們有這能力。</p>
<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span> Therefore, let it be built after the <sup class='englishSup'>a</sup>[http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/95?lang=eng manner] which I shall show unto three of you, whom ye shall appoint and ordain unto this power.</p>

<p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span> And the size thereof shall be fifty and five feet in width, and let it be sixty-five feet in length, in the inner court thereof.</p>
