<div class='headline'>August 26–September 1</div> <div class='headline'>8月26日-9月1日</div> <div class='section'>1 Corinthians 8–13</div> <div class='section'>哥林多前書第8~13章</div> <div class='section'>“Ye Are the Body of Christ”</div> <div class='section'>「你們就是基督的身子」</div> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>1</span>As you prayerfully read 1 Corinthians 8–13, the Holy Ghost may speak to you in subtle ways (see 1 Kings 19:11–12).</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>2</span>Recording these impressions will help you recall the feelings and thoughts you had during your study.</p> <div class='section'>RECORD YOUR IMPRESSIONS</div> <div class='section'>記錄心得感想</div> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>3</span>In Paul’s time, Corinth was a wealthy trade center with residents from all over the Roman Empire.</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>4</span>With so many different cultures and religions in the city, Church members in Corinth struggled to maintain unity, so Paul sought to help them find unity in their belief in Christ.</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>5</span>This unity was to be more than just peaceful coexistence; Paul wasn’t asking them merely to tolerate each other’s differences.</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>6</span>Rather, he taught that when you join the Church of Jesus Christ, you are “baptized into one body,” and every body part is needed (1 Corinthians 12:13).</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>7</span>When one member is lost, it’s like losing a limb, and the body is weaker as a result.</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>8</span>When one member suffers, we should all feel it and do our part to relieve it.</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>9</span>In this kind of unity, differences are not just acknowledged but cherished, because without members of diverse gifts and abilities, the body would be limited.</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>10</span>So whether you feel like you’ve always been at home in the Church or find yourself wondering if you truly belong, Paul’s message to you is that unity is not sameness.</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>11</span>You need your fellow Saints, and your fellow Saints need you.</p> <div class='section'>Ideas for Personal Scripture Study</div> <div class='section'>個人經文研讀的建議</div> <div class='section'>1 Corinthians 10:1–13</div> <div class='section'>哥林多前書10:1-13</div> <div class='section'>God provides a way to escape temptation.</div> <div class='section'>神提供了一個脫離試探的出路。</div> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>12</span>Spiritual experiences, even miraculous ones, do not exempt us from temptations that are “common to man” (1 Corinthians 10:13).</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>13</span>That may be one reason Paul wrote about how the Israelites in Moses’s day struggled with temptation, even though they witnessed mighty miracles (see Exodus 13:21; 14:13–31).</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>14</span>As you read 1 Corinthians 10:1–13, what warnings in the Israelites’ experiences seem applicable to you?</p> <p class='english'><span class='englishVerse'>15</span>What kinds of “escape” from temptation has Heavenly Father provided for you?
