第30章 阿爾瑪給兒子們的忠告 |
Alma was unhappy because of how wicked the Nephites had become. | |
尼腓人變得很邪惡,使阿爾瑪非常難過; | |
He talked to each of his sons about living righteously. | |
他對他的每一個兒子講話,告訴他們如何過正義的生活。 |
Alma told Helaman, his oldest son, to trust in God. | |
阿爾瑪告訴長子希拉曼要信賴神。 | |
He told him about the angel God had sent to tell Alma to stop destroying the Church. | |
他告訴希拉曼神派天使來阻止他破壞教會的事。 |
For three days Alma had suffered because of his guilt. | |
阿爾瑪被自己的罪折磨三天之久。 | |
Then he remembered his father’s teachings about Jesus, and he knew his sins could be forgiven. | |
後來,他想起了父親曾教導過耶穌的事,他知道他的罪能得到寬恕。 |
Alma prayed for forgiveness, and joy replaced the pain in his soul. | |
阿爾瑪祈禱懇求寬恕後,他的靈魂充滿了快樂,不再感到痛苦。 | |
He was forgiven because he had faith in Jesus Christ and had repented. | |
由於他對耶穌基督的信心,再加上悔改,因此得到了寬恕。 |
Since then Alma had taught others the gospel so they could feel the same joy he had felt. | |
從那時起,阿爾瑪便教導其他人福音,使他們也能感受到和他一樣的喜樂。 | |
God had blessed Alma because of his trust in God. | |

Alma gave Helaman the sacred records and told him to continue writing the history of their people. | |

Alma told him that if he kept the commandments, God would bless him and help him protect the records. | |

Alma also told Helaman to pray every morning and night and to talk with God about everything he was doing so God could help guide him. | |

Alma was happy with his son Shiblon, who had been a brave missionary to the Zoramites. | |
阿爾瑪對於兒子希伯隆很滿意,因為他勇敢地向卓倫人傳教, | |
Shiblon had remained faithful even when they had stoned him. | |
而且,當有人想用石頭打死他時,他仍然保持忠信。 |
Alma reminded Shiblon that the only way to be saved is through Jesus Christ. | |
阿爾瑪提醒希伯隆,唯有透過耶穌基督,世人才能得救。 | |
Alma then encouraged his son to continue teaching the gospel. | |
然後阿爾瑪鼓勵他繼續教導福音。 |
Alma’s son Corianton had not kept the commandments. | |
阿爾瑪的兒子柯林安頓並沒有遵守誡命。 | |
He had not been a faithful missionary while teaching the Zoramites. | |
他在教導卓倫人時,並不是個忠信的傳教士。 |
Because of what Corianton had done, the Zoramites would not believe Alma’s teachings. | |
卓倫人看到柯林安頓的行為,都不相信阿爾瑪的教導。 |
Alma told Corianton that people cannot hide their sins from God and that Corianton needed to repent. | |
阿爾瑪告訴柯林安頓,誰都無法將自己的罪隱藏起來、不讓神知道;他說柯林安頓必須悔改。 |
Alma taught his son that everyone will be resurrected but only the righteous will live with God. | |
阿爾瑪教導他的兒子,每個人都會復活,但只有正義的人可以與神同住。 |
This life is the time for people to repent and serve God, Alma said. | |
阿爾瑪說,今生就是人們悔改、事奉神的時候。 |
Reminding Corianton that he had been called to be a missionary, Alma told him to return to the Zoramites and teach the people to repent. | |
阿爾瑪提醒柯林安頓,他以蒙召喚擔任傳教士,應該回到卓倫人那裡去告訴人民悔改。 |
Alma and his sons continued teaching the gospel. | |
阿爾瑪和他的兒子繼續教導人民福音; | |
They taught by the power of the priesthood. | |
