• Chapter 42 The Signs of Christ’s Crucifixion
• 第42章 基督被釘死在十字架上的預兆

• Thirty-three years had passed since the people had seen the signs of Jesus Christ’s birth.
• 自從人們看見耶穌基督誕生的預兆後，三十三年過去了。

• They now watched for the sign of his death: three days of darkness.
• 他們現在注意著他死亡的預兆--三天的黑暗。

• Some did not believe that the sign would come. They argued with those who did believe.
• 有些人不相信這個預兆會發生，他們和那些相信的人爭論著。

• One day a fierce storm came. There was a terrible wind.
• 有一天，出現了一場很大的暴風雨，又颳著可怕的風暴。

• Lightning flashed, and thunder shook the whole earth.
• 天上有閃電，雷聲震動了整個大地。

• The city of Zarahemla caught on fire. The city of Moroni sank into the sea. The city of Moronihah was buried.
• 柴雷罕拉城著火了，摩羅乃城沉入海底，摩羅乃哈城也被掩埋了。

• An earthquake shook the whole earth. Highways were broken up, and buildings crumbled. Many cities were destroyed, and many people were killed.
• 大地震動、道路斷裂、房子倒塌，很多城市都被毀了，而且死了很多人。

• The storm and the earthquake lasted about three hours.
• 暴風雨和地震持續了約三個小時。

• When the storm and earthquake stopped, thick darkness covered the land. There was no light anywhere. The people could even feel the darkness.
• 暴風雨和地震停止後，濃厚的黑暗籠罩著地面，沒有一絲光亮。人們甚至能感覺的到黑暗。

• The darkness lasted for three days. Candles would not burn, and the people could not see the sun, moon, or stars.
• 黑暗持續了三天，連蠟燭也點不著，人們看不到太陽、月亮和星星。

• The people cried because of the darkness, destruction, and death. They were sorry they had not repented of their sins.
• 人們因為黑暗、毀滅和死亡而哭泣。他們很後悔沒有悔改他們的罪。

• Then the people heard the voice of Jesus Christ.
• 然後人們聽到了耶穌基督的聲音。

• Jesus told them about the terrible destruction in the land. He said that the most wicked people had been killed.
• 耶穌告訴他們地面上可怕的毀滅，他說最邪惡的人都已經被殺死了。

• He said that those who had not been killed needed to repent. If they did and came unto him, he would bless them.
• 他說那些活著的人還需要悔改;如果他們真的悔改並且歸向他，他就會祝福他們。

• The people were so amazed after hearing the voice that they stopped crying. Everything was silent for many hours.
• 人們聽到那聲音後非常驚訝，他們停止了哭泣;地面上好幾個小時都非常安靜。

• Then Jesus spoke again, saying he had often tried to help the people. If they would repent now, they could still return to him.
• 耶穌又開口說話，他說他經常試著幫助他們，如果他們現在願意悔改，他們還是可以歸向他的。

• After three days the darkness left. The people rejoiced and joyfully thanked the Lord.
• 三天後，黑暗消失了，人們非常高興，內心充滿喜悅地感謝主。
