艾繆萊克見證，神的話在基督裡面以促成救恩──除非完成贖罪，否則全人類必滅亡──摩西律法完全指向神的兒子的犧牲──永恆的救贖計畫以信心與悔改為基礎──為屬世和屬靈的祝福祈禱──今生是世人為迎見神而作準備的時候──在神前戰戰兢兢，完成自己的救恩。約主前七四年。
Amulek testifies that the word is in Christ unto salvation—Unless an atonement is made, all mankind must perish—The whole law of Moses points toward the sacrifice of the Son of God—The eternal plan of redemption is based on faith and repentance—Pray for temporal and spiritual blessings—This life is the time for men to prepare to meet God—Work out your salvation with fear before God. About 74 B.C.
1 事情是這樣的，阿爾瑪對他們講完這些話，便席地而坐，ａ艾繆萊克則起身開始教導他們說：
1 And now it came to pass that after Alma had spoken these words unto them he sat down upon the ground, and aAmulekarose and began to teach them, saying:
2 弟兄們，我認為你們不可能不知道所說過關於基督來臨的事；我們已教過你們，祂就是神的兒子；是的，我知道，在你們叛離我們之前，ａ這些事已充分教過你們。
2 My brethren, I think that it is impossible that ye should be ignorant of the things which have been spoken concerning the coming of Christ, who is taught by us to be the Son of God; yea, I know that athese things were taught unto you bountifully before your dissension from among us.
3 你們曾因你們的苦難，希望我心愛的弟兄告訴你們該怎麼辦，他對你們說了一些話，以準備你們的心；是的，他勸告你們要有信心和耐心──
3 And as ye have desired of my beloved brother that he should make known unto you awhat ye should do, because of your afflictions; and he hath spoken somewhat unto you to prepare your minds; yea, and he hath exhorted you unto faith and to patience—
4 是的，甚至要你們有足夠的信心將神的話ａ種在你們心中，讓你們能試驗它的好處。
4 Yea, even that ye would have so much faith as even to aplantthe word in your hearts, that ye may try the experiment of its goodness.
5 我們看出你們心中重大的疑問是：神的話是否在神的兒子裡面，還是將來不會有基督。
5 And we have beheld that the great question which is in your minds is whether the word be in the Son of God, or whether there shall be ano Christ.
6 而你們也看到我的弟兄多次向你們證明，ａ神的話在基督裡面以促成救恩。
6 And ye also beheld that my brother has proved unto you, in many instances, that the aword is in Christ unto salvation.
7 我的弟兄引用徐納斯的話說，救贖乃經由神的兒子而來，他也引用了徐諾克的話；他還提到摩西，以證明這些事情是真的。
7 My brother has called upon the words of aZenos, that redemption cometh through the Son of God, and also upon the words of bZenock; and also he has appealed unto cMoses, to prove that these things are true.
8 現在看啊，我要親自向你們ａ見證這些事情是真的。看啊，我告訴你們，我確實知道基督必定會來到人類兒女當中，承擔祂人民的過犯，ｂ贖世人的罪；因為主神說過了。
8 And now, behold, I will atestify unto you of myself that these things are true. Behold, I say unto you, that I do know that Christ shall come among the children of men, to take upon him thebtransgressions of his people, and that he shall catone for the sins of the world; for the Lord God hath spoken it.
9 ａ贖罪是必定要完成的；因為根據永恆之神的偉大ｂ計畫，必須完成贖罪，否則全人類必難免滅亡；是的，世人都頑硬，是的，都已ｃ墜落迷失，除非透過那必須完成的贖罪，否則世人都必滅亡。
9 For it is expedient that an aatonement should be made; for according to the great bplan of the Eternal God there must be an atonement made, or else all mankind must unavoidably perish; yea, all are hardened; yea, all are cfallen and are lost, and must perish except it be through the atonement which it is expedient should be made.
10 必須有一次偉大而最後的ａ犧牲；是的，不是人的犧牲，不是走獸的犧牲，也不是任何一種飛禽的犧牲；那必不是人類的犧牲，必須是ｂ無限而永恆的ｃ犧牲。
10 For it is expedient that there should be a great and lastasacrifice; yea, not a bsacrifice of man, neither of beast, neither of any manner of fowl; for it shall not be a human sacrifice; but it must be an cinfinite and deternal esacrifice.
11 沒有任何人能犧牲自己的血來贖別人的罪。若一個人殺了人，看啊，我們ａ公正的法律會取他弟兄的命嗎？我告訴你們，不會。
11 Now there is not any man that can sacrifice his own blood which will atone for the sins of another. Now, if a man murdereth, behold will our law, which is ajust, take the life of his brother? I say unto you, Nay.
12 法律卻要ａ殺人者的命；所以凡缺乏無限贖罪的，都不足以抵世人的罪。
12 But the law requireth the alife of him who hath bmurdered; therefore there can be nothing which is short of an infinite atonement which will suffice for the sins of the world.
13 因此必須有一次偉大而最後的犧牲；然後將有，或者說必須有流血的ａ終止；那時ｂ摩西律法必被成全，是的，一點一畫都必成全，絕不廢去任何部分。
13 Therefore, it is expedient that there should be a great and last sacrifice, and then shall there be, or it is expedient there should be, a astop to the shedding of bblood; then shall the claw of Moses be fulfilled; yea, it shall be all fulfilled, every jot and tittle, and none shall have passed away.
14 看啊，這就是那ａ律法的全部ｂ意義，每一點都指向那偉大而最後的ｃ犧牲；那偉大而最後的犧牲將是神的兒子，是的，無限而永恆。
14 And behold, this is the whole ameaning of the blaw, every whitcpointing to that great and last dsacrifice; and that great and lastesacrifice will be the Son of God, yea, finfinite and eternal.
15 祂這樣為所有相信祂名的人帶來ａ救恩；這最後犧牲的目的，在於使那凌駕公道的慈悲心腸得以生效，並為世人提供方法，能獲得信心而悔改。
15 And thus he shall bring asalvation to all those who shall believe on his name; this being the intent of this last sacrifice, to bring about the bowels of mercy, which overpowereth justice, and bringeth about means unto men that they may have faith unto repentance.
16 這樣ａ慈悲就可以滿足ｂ公道的要求，將他們環抱在安全的臂膀中，而那不運用信心來悔改的人，則暴露在ｃ公道所要求的全部律法下；所以，那偉大而永恆的ｄ救贖計畫，只在有信心而悔改的人身上生效。
16 And thus amercy can satisfy the demands of bjustice, and encircles them in the arms of safety, while he that exercises no faith unto repentance is exposed to the whole law of the demands of cjustice; therefore only unto him that has faith unto repentance is brought about the great and eternal dplan oferedemption.
17 因此，弟兄們，願神恩准，使你們能開始運用ａ信心來悔改，開始ｂ呼求祂的聖名，求祂憐憫你們；
17 Therefore may God grant unto you, my brethren, that ye may begin to exercise your afaith unto repentance, that ye begin tobcall upon his holy name, that he would have mercy upon you;
18 是的，呼求祂的憐憫；因為祂有大能來拯救。
18 Yea, cry unto him for mercy; for he is amighty to save.
19 是的，謙抑自己，繼續向祂祈禱。
19 Yea, humble yourselves, and continue in aprayer unto him.
20 你們在田裡要為你們所有的羊群呼求祂。
20 Cry unto him when ye are in your afields, yea, over all your flocks.
21 不論早上、中午或晚上，你們要在家裡為你們所有的家人ａ呼求祂。
21 aCry unto him in your houses, yea, over all your household, both morning, mid-day, and evening.
22 是的，呼求祂抵擋敵人的力量。
22 Yea, cry unto him against the power of your aenemies.
23 Yea, acry unto him against the bdevil, who is an enemy to allcrighteousness.
24 為你們田裡的作物呼求祂，使你們豐收。
24 Cry unto him over the crops of your fields, that ye may prosper in them.
25 為你們牧場的羊群呼求祂，使羊群增加。
25 Cry over the flocks of your fields, that they may increase.
26 但是不只這樣，你們還必須在ａ內屋、密所和曠野裡傾訴你們的心聲。
26 But this is not all; ye must apour out your souls in yourbclosets, and your secret places, and in your wilderness.
27 是的，你們不呼求主時，要讓你們的ａ心ｂ充滿，為自己的福祉和周圍的人的福祉，不斷傾注在對祂的祈禱中。
27 Yea, and when you do not cry unto the Lord, let your aheartsbe bfull, drawn out in prayer unto him continually for yourcwelfare, and also for the welfare of dthose who are around you.
28 現在看啊，我心愛的弟兄們，我告訴你們，不要以為這就夠了；因為你們做了所有這些事後，若不幫助ａ貧困的人和無衣蔽體的人，不探視患病受苦的人，有財物卻不ｂ分給有需要的人──我告訴你們，如果你們不做這些事中的任何一件，看啊，你們的ｃ禱告也是ｄ枉然的，對你們毫無益處，你們就像否認信仰的偽善者一樣。
28 And now behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you, do not suppose that this is all; for after ye have done all these things, if ye aturn away the bneedy, and the cnaked, and visit not the sick and afflicted, and dimpart of your substance, if ye have, to those who stand in need—I say unto you, if ye do not any of these things, behold, your eprayer is fvain, and availeth you nothing, and ye are as ghypocrites who do deny the faith.
29 所以，你們若不記得要作個ａ有愛心的人，就會像渣滓一樣，為冶金者丟棄（因為毫無價值），任人在腳下踐踏。
29 Therefore, if ye do not remember to be acharitable, ye are as dross, which the refiners do cast out, (it being of no worth) and is trodden under foot of men.
30 現在，弟兄們，你們獲得這麼多見證，又看到神聖經文證明這些事，我希望你們出來，結出悔改的ａ果子。
30 And now, my brethren, I would that, after ye have areceivedso many witnesses, seeing that the holy scriptures testify of these things, ye come forth and bring bfruit unto repentance.
31 是的，我希望你們出來，不要再硬起心來；因為看啊，現在正是你們ａ救恩的時日；所以，你們若悔改，不硬起心來，那偉大的救贖計畫必立刻在你們身上生效。
31 Yea, I would that ye would come forth and aharden not your hearts any longer; for behold, now is the time and the bday of your csalvation; and therefore, if ye will repent and dharden not your hearts, immediately shall the great plan of redemption be brought about unto you.
32 因為看啊，今生是世人為迎見神而作ａ準備的時候；是的，看啊，今生的日子是世人完成工作的日子。
32 For behold, this alife is the time for men to bprepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of cthis life is the day for men to perform their dlabors.
33 正如我剛才說過的，你們已有這麼多見證，所以，我懇求你們不要將你們ａ悔改的日子ｂ拖延到最後；因為過了今生這段讓我們為永恆作準備的日子，看啊，如果我們今生沒有善用我們的時間，那麼ｃ黑暗的ｄ夜晚來臨時，我們就無法工作了。
33 And now, as I said unto you before, as ye have had so manyawitnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do notbprocrastinate the day of your crepentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh thednight of edarkness wherein there can be no labor performed.
34 你們身處那可怕的ａ危機時，就不能說，我會悔改，我會回到我的神那裡。不能，你們不能這麼說了；因為你們離開今生時，那佔據你們身體的靈，也會有能力在永恆世界中佔據你們的身體。
34 Ye cannot say, when ye are brought to that awful acrisis, that I will repent, that I will return to my God. Nay, ye cannot say this; for that same spirit which doth bpossess your bodies at the time that ye go out of this life, that same spirit will have power to possess your body in that eternal world.
35 因為看啊，你們若將悔改的日子拖延到死亡，看啊，你們就ａ受制於魔鬼的靈，而他便ｂ印證你們是屬於他的；於是，主的靈就從你們那裡退出，在你們裡面無處可容，而魔鬼卻有力量完全控制你們；這就是罪人的最後景況。
35 For behold, if ye have procrastinated the day of your repentance even until death, behold, ye have become asubjectedto the spirit of the devil, and he doth bseal you his; therefore, the Spirit of the Lord hath withdrawn from you, and hath no place in you, and the devil hath all power over you; and this is the final state of the wicked.
36 這點我知道，因為主說過，祂不住在ａ不聖潔的殿裡，卻住在ｂ義人的心中，是的，而且祂也說過，義人必坐在祂的國度裡，不再離開；他們的衣服必藉羔羊的血洗得潔白。
36 And this I know, because the Lord hath said he dwelleth not in aunholy temples, but in the bhearts of the crighteous doth he dwell; yea, and he has also said that the righteous shall sit down in his kingdom, to go no more out; but their garments should be made white through the dblood of the Lamb.
37 現在，我心愛的弟兄們，我希望你們記得這些事，希望你們在神前戰戰兢兢ａ完成自己的救恩，不再否認基督的來臨；
37 And now, my beloved brethren, I desire that ye should remember these things, and that ye should awork out your salvation with fear before God, and that ye should no more deny the coming of Christ;
38 不再ａ抗拒聖靈，卻要接受聖靈，並承受ｂ基督的名；希望你們能謙抑自己，卑若塵埃，不論身在何處，都用心靈和誠實ｃ崇拜神；希望你們因祂所賜的豐富慈愛與祝福而每天生活在ｄ感恩中。
38 That ye acontend no more against the Holy Ghost, but that ye receive it, and take upon you the bname of Christ; that ye humble yourselves even to the dust, and cworship God, in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth; and that ye live indthanksgiving daily, for the many emercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you.
39 是的，弟兄們，我也奉勸你們繼續ａ警醒祈禱，使你們不被魔鬼的ｂ試探誘入歧途，使魔鬼無法支配你們，使你們不致在末日成為他的屬民；因為看啊，他ｃ沒有好東西回報你們。
39 Yea, and I also aexhort you, my brethren, that ye be bwatchfulunto prayer continually, that ye may not be led away by thectemptations of the devil, that he may not overpower you, that ye may not become his subjects at the last day; for behold, he rewardeth you dno good thing.
40 現在，我心愛的弟兄們，我奉勸你們要有ａ耐心，能忍受一切苦難；不要ｂ辱罵那些因你們極度貧窮而將你們趕出來的人，免得你們也像他們一樣成了罪人；
40 And now my beloved brethren, I would exhort you to haveapatience, and that ye bear with all manner of bafflictions; that ye do not crevile against those who do cast you out because of yourdexceeding poverty, lest ye become sinners like unto them;
41 你們要有耐心，忍受那些苦難，懷著堅定的希望，期盼有一天你們會脫離一切苦難。
41 But that ye have apatience, and bear with those bafflictions, with a firm hope that ye shall one day rest from all your afflictions.
