The Holy Ghost Came to Adam and Eve

● 亞當和夏娃為什麼需要聖靈的指引？

• Why did Adam and Eve need the guidance of the Holy Ghost ?

亞當和夏娃離開伊甸園後，開始耕種田地，並從事其他工作來謀生。

After Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden, they began to till the earth and work at other tasks for their living.

他們生了很多孩子，他們的兒女也結婚生子（見摩西書5：1-3）。

They had many children, and their sons and daughters also married and had children (see Moses 5:1–3).

於是，天父的靈體兒女便依照神的安排，開始離開祂面前，來到這世上（見亞伯拉罕書3：24-25）。

Thus, spirit children of our Heavenly Father began leaving His presence to come to the earth as they had been promised (see Abraham 3:24–25).

他們到世上來以後，對天上家庭的記憶就被取走了。

As they came to earth, the memory of their heavenly home was taken from them.

但是天父並沒有讓他們與祂的影響力隔絕。

But our Father did not shut them away from His influence.

祂差聖靈來安慰、協助及指引祂所有的靈體兒女。

He sent the Holy Ghost to comfort and help and guide all of His spirit children .

亞當和夏娃在禱告中呼求天父。

Adam and Eve called upon Heavenly Father in prayer.

祂對他們說話，賜給他們誡命，他們都遵守了這些誡命。

He spoke to them and gave them commandments, which they obeyed.

有位主的天使前來教導亞當和夏娃救恩計畫。

An angel of the Lord came and taught Adam and Eve the plan of salvation .

主差聖靈來為父與子作見證，並教導亞當和夏娃福音。（見摩西書5：4-9。）

The Lord sent the Holy Ghost to testify of the Father and of the Son and to teach Adam and Eve the gospel. (See Moses 5:4–9.)

亞當透過聖靈的力量，「開始預言有關地上所有家族的事，說：神的名是應當稱頌的，因為我的違誡，眼睛就張開了，今生我必有快樂，我也必在肉身中再得見神」（摩西書5：10）。

Through the power of the Holy Ghost, Adam “began to prophesy concerning all the families of the earth, saying: Blessed be the name of God, for because of my transgression my eyes are opened, and in this life I shall have joy, and again in the flesh I shall see God” (Moses 5:10).

夏娃因聖靈對她所作的見證，而說：「要不是我們違誡，我們永遠不會有子孫，永遠不知道善惡、我們被救贖的快樂，和神給所有服從者的永生」（摩西書5：11）。

Because of the witness of the Holy Ghost to Eve, she said, “Were it not for our transgression we never should have had seed, and never should have known good and evil, and the joy of our redemption, and the eternal life which God giveth unto all the obedient” (Moses 5:11) .

Attributes of the Holy Ghost

Why is that difference important to us ?

聖靈是神組中的一位成員（見約翰一書5：7；教約20：28）。

The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead (see 1 John 5:7; D&C 20:28).

祂是一個「靈體的人」（教約130：22）。

He is a “personage of Spirit” (D&C 130:22).

祂一次只出現在一個地方，但祂的影響力卻可以同時擴及各地。

He can be in only one place at a time, but His influence can be everywhere at the same time .

天父、耶穌基督及聖靈被稱為神組。

Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are called the Godhead.

祂們在目標上是一致的。

They are unified in purpose.

祂們每一位在救恩計畫中都擔負一項重要的任務。

Each has an important assignment in the plan of salvation.

天父是我們的父親及統治者。

Our Heavenly Father is our Father and ruler.

耶穌基督是我們的救主。

Jesus Christ is our Savior.

聖靈是所有真理的啟示者及見證人。

The Holy Ghost is the revealer and testifier of all truth .

聖靈是天父的使者，也是賜給我們的一項特別恩賜（見本書第21 章）。

The Holy Ghost is our Heavenly Father’s messenger and is a special gift to us (see chapter 21 in this book) .

聖靈的任務
The Mission of the Holy Ghost

● 聖靈向我們啟示了哪些真理？

• What are some of the truths that the Holy Ghost reveals to us ?

聖靈的任務是為父、子及一切事情的真實性作見證。

The mission of the Holy Ghost is to bear witness of the Father and the Son and of the truth of all things .

聖靈會向我們見證耶穌是我們的救主及救贖主（見尼腓三書28：11；教約20：27）。

The Holy Ghost will witness to us that Jesus is our Savior and Redeemer (see 3 Nephi 28:11; D&C 20:27).

祂會向我們揭示，天父是我們靈體的父親。

He will reveal to us that our Heavenly Father is the Father of our spirits.

祂會讓我們明白，我們能像天父一樣成為超升的人。（見羅馬書8：16-17。）

He will help us understand that we can become exalted like our Heavenly Father(See Romans 8:16–17.) .

主的先知們曾應許：「藉著聖靈的力量，你們可以知道一切事情的真實性」（摩羅乃書10：5）。

The prophets of the Lord have promised, “By the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things” (Moroni 10:5) .

沒有聖靈，我們就無法知道耶穌是基督。

Without the Holy Ghost, we could not know that Jesus is the Christ .

使徒保羅寫道：「若不是被聖靈感動的，也沒有能說『耶穌是主』的」（哥林多前書12：3）。

The Apostle Paul wrote, “No man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost” (1 Corinthians 12:3).

救主自己也說過：「認識您──獨一的真神，並且認識您所差來的耶穌基督，這就是永生」（約翰福音17：3）。

The Savior Himself said, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” ( John 17:3).

藉著聖靈的力量，我們才能了解並奉行耶穌基督的福音。

It is by the power of the Holy Ghost that we are led to understand and live the gospel of Jesus Christ .

聖靈具有強大的說服力，能使人相信祂所透露的一切都是真實的。

The convincing power of the Holy Ghost is so great that there can be no doubt that what He reveals to us is true.

約瑟．斐亭．斯密會長說：「一個人得到了來自聖靈的顯示後，他的靈魂就留下了一個不可磨滅的印象，是不容易拭去的。

President Joseph Fielding Smith said: “When a man has the manifestation from the Holy Ghost, it leaves an indelible impression on his soul, one that is not easily erased .

那是靈對靈說話，是最具說服力的。

It is Spirit speaking to spirit, and it comes with convincing force.

天使的顯現，或甚至是人子的親自顯現，都會在眼裡和心中留下印象，最後漸漸淡去，但聖靈的印象卻會深入靈魂，難以抹滅」（Answers to Gospel Questions, comp.Joseph Fielding Smith Jr., 5 vols.[1957-66], 2:151)。

A manifestation of an angel, or even of the Son of God himself, would impress the eye and mind, and eventually become dimmed, but the impressions of the Holy Ghost sink deeper into the soul and are more difficult to erase” (Answers to Gospel Questions, comp. Joseph Fielding Smith Jr., 5 vols. [1957–66], 2:151) .

斯密會長也說：「藉著聖靈，真理被編織進身體的每一根纖維及肌肉，令人無法遺忘」（Doctrines of Salvation, comp.Bruce R. McConkie, 3 vols. [1954-56], 1:48）。

President Smith also said, “Through the Holy Ghost the truth is woven into the very fibre and sinews of the body so that it cannot be forgotten” (Doctrines of Salvation, comp. Bruce R. McConkie, 3 vols. [1954–56], 1:48) .

身為耶穌基督後期聖徒教會的教友，我們應該要讓自己配稱接受天父及耶穌基督差來的這位特別的使者及證人。

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we should make ourselves worthy to receive this special messenger and witness of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ .

• Think about times when the Holy Ghost has helped you grow in your testimony.

合適的話，與班員或家人分享一些這方面的經驗。

As appropriate, share some of these experiences with class members or family members .

給教師：如果你叫得出班員的名字，他們會知道你很重視他們，也會知道你關心他們。

For teachers: When you call class members by their names, they know they are important to you and that you care about them.

記住他們的名字，每次上課都要叫他們的名字。

Learn their names, and call them by name during each lesson.

幫助他們也記得別人的名字。

Help them learn each other’s names .
